A question:

Is it true that as a LLM student at NYU you are not in a JD class?

Yes. Unlike many other places, NYU employs this segregation))

Woah, I wonder why the have not awarded you...Have you also applied in Harvard?

Thank you very much...This will help me to decide, if they will accept me...because I think it's a disadvantage!

No I did not and now i feel it was my mistake... I did not because I thought I was short on TOEFL score (108), I know they have 100 requirement, but my speaking was 24 instead of 25 required in each subsection...

Oh yes, you def. should have...I know that HLS is not that strict with TOEFL score. IN particular if you have 108. But CLS is great as well:-)

Me too, I applied to the Hauser Global Scholarship. I wonder if those decisions are made already...? Did you hear from anybody who gets this scholarship? Thanks.

Hey guys, I was also admitted to NYU with a half tuition scholarship. I also have the same 9 March time-period for accepting. I sent emails to CLS and HLS asking to give me a prompt answer and they both replied the negative.

I hate having to make this decision without knowing if I am admitted to those institutions.

Thought so...they know that they have the better reputation and are regarded most likely as No. 1 in the heads of a lot of students...But still NYU's reputation is almost as good and with a partial scholarship, I'd knew which Uni I'd chose...the difference between NYU and those is not worth that much...

I'm in the same position! What did HLS say? I haven't tried yet with emails and calls but considering to... What takes them so long!? :)
Let me know what are you going to do! Thanks

I sent emails last night and received an auto-reply email from HLS saying that applications were being studied by them, that we should not contact them and that the status should only be checked on the embark website (the same website that keeps telling me the same s&/" since December...

While I don't doubt that they've been awarded due to when they were awarded in previous years (late Feb.), I don't recall seeing anyone this year who's posted that he or she has received it.

That being said, there are a lot of topics on the go right now, so maybe I just missed it...

Yes. Unlike many other places, NYU employs this segregation))

I wasn't sure about this, so I just checked on the NYU website. It states that LLM students do take classes with JD students. However, there are some LLM only options available.

Have you heard different from NYU themselves?

Has anyone been admitted to the International Legal Studies Program?

I think so -- someone in one of the threads mentioned that s/he received a Grotius scholarship, which I believe is for the Int'l Legal Studies Program.

I've applied but haven't heard anything yet, although I've been admitted to a number of other schools.

I got admitted to the In'l Legal Studies Program. NYU was one of my top schools, but I am waiting to hear back from Penn Law and Yale to make my final decision.

Clarification there: The Human Rights Scholarship from Penn Law and admission decision from Yale.
