Hi guys,
I'm an italian Lawyer, with 10 years experience in tax ( with a master in italy 10 years ago ) and civil law.
Since my wife is american and i have a green card I'm planning to relocate to NYC and take 1 year off to get an LLM.
From a job opportunity, which NYC college can you recommend? I'm getting information about Fordham, Cardozo ( since I have friends who went there ), NYU or Columbia.
Anyone knows the working chances with an LLM having already the green card? I'm really not planning to do it to go back to Italy.
Thanks,
Gianni

NYU Tax is the best tax program in the country if you want to work for a law firm and probably the only one you should consider if you want to work in NYC.

sinche NYU is quite expensive and i couldn't be sure to be admitted anyway, what do you think of doing a MS in taxation instead?
I was considering the one at Baruch, since the school has a good name in accounting/finance. As NY resident the tuition is quite low, like 8k plus books etc.
Would the job chances be much smaller with an MS instead of an LLM? I don't think I would ever sit for bar in the USA, my english not being comparable to a mother tongue...

Regarding NYU tax llm. It is a good enough, but a foreign lawyer wont be able to sit for a bar exam in the state of NY. What kind of law career is that?
