got an offer letter this morning. have been offered half-tuition dean's graduate award. they want me to accept immediately... (first come first serve)
any suggestions on what to do? i'm still waiting for a few Univs.

Congratulations on your admission, and also for the scholarship. Depending on where else you have been admitted and where your "heart" is, I would advise that you consider accepting the offer, especially since such scholarships are hard to come up. Just think about it and make a wise decision.

A close friend, to say the least, got accepted (e-mail with a link to a www.law.nyu.edu site with a pdf-file containing information on the scholarship etc) this morning and got the Vanderbilt full-tuition scholarship. My friend is from Europe.

hey twelfth, sure, you're right, I wouldn't want to feed the troll, but, as much as it quite entertains me to read this thread ;-) (and also the Yale one, although i didnt apply), it is also quite tiring to always wonder whether it's true or not, so from now on, i've decided to play naive and just believe it when someone writes about his/her acceptance... :)

Using this URL https://its.law.nyu.edu/admitted/login/login.cfm?dest=/admitted/grad/index.cfm, my Admissions Identification Number and date of birth, I was able to get an answer even though I have not heard anything through e-mail, try it.

I got a mail yesterday. Opened it this morning.

I was offered a Global Hauser scholarship, I have up to March 6 to accept.

1. Don't even ignore him.
