Does anyone want play “Guess the date that decisions will be released?”

Here is the data that someone in last year’s thread (with too much time on their hands ????) provided regarding the historical dates that decisions were released:

2009 - 22nd - Sunday
2010 - 21st - Sunday
2011 - 19th - Saturday
2012 - 18th - Sunday
2013 - 18th - Monday
2014 - 19th - Wednesday
2015 - 17th - Tuesday
2016 - 16th - Wednesday
2017 - 15th - Wednesday
2018 - 15th - Thursday
2019 - 14th - Thursday
2020 - 16th - Monday
2021 – 19th - Friday
2022 – 17th - Thursday
2023 - 15th  - Monday 

Here is my unscientific guess for this year —Decisions will be released on Monday, March 18th.

Zehnzhenz just gave me a bit of more helpful information---the date that HLS announces the third round of JD acceptances -- which will be Monday, March 18. Although it is too late for me to change my original guess (in the game) that the LLM acceptances would be released on Monday, March 18, I now believe that they will be released this week, and in fact, sometime between today (March 13) and Friday (March 15).

This is my reasoning. As you may recall from my earlier post, here is the recent history of when LLM acceptances have been issued:

2009 - 22nd - Sunday
2010 - 21st - Sunday
2011 - 19th - Saturday
2012 - 18th - Sunday
2013 - 18th - Monday
2014 - 19th - Wednesday
2015 - 17th - Tuesday
2016 - 16th - Wednesday
2017 - 15th - Wednesday
2018 - 15th - Thursday
2019 - 14th - Thursday
2020 - 16th - Monday
2021 – 19th - Friday
2022 – 17th - Thursday
2023 - 15th - Wednesday



Also, from an earlier post from YSJang, who raised the issue of "Spring Break" taking place this week and as you may recall from my earlier post, I did additional research which showed that (at least going back a few years which Sergios may find not to be a "correlation") LLM decisions were issued during Spring Break.

Now, the last piece of data provided by Zehnzhenz. I decided to research the last four years of dates for: (i) the announcement of the third round of JD acceptances; (ii) Spring Break and (iii) the LLM decisions. The "analysis" shows that LLM decisions have ALWAYS been issued PRIOR to the date of the announcement of the third round of JD acceptances and DURING Spring Break. Here is the data:

2021: March 22 (third round JD acceptances announced); March 13-21 (Spring Break); March 19, Friday (LLM decisions announced)

2022: March 21 (third round JD acceptances announced); March 12-20 (Spring Break); March 17, Thursday (LLM decisions announced)

2023: March 20 (third round JD acceptances announced); March 11-19 (Spring Break); March 15, Wednesday (LLM decisions announced)

2024: March 18 (third round JD acceptances announced); March 9-17 (Spring Break); March ????, ???? (LLM decisions announced)

Again, for purposes of the game, I will not change my original guess that LLM acceptances will be issued on Monday, March 18.

However, and due to the inquisitiveness of this group and the facts raised and the additional research undertaken, I believe that the LLM decisions will be announced sometime between today and Friday.

Although we may have, with our collaboration, "cracked the code" of when LLM decisions will be made, I know it does not make the waiting any easier, but we will all know soon and I wish each of you "fellow sufferers" (to borrow from Zehnzhenz) the best of luck.

Has anyone analyzed at what time during the day decisions usually come out?

Decisions are out, congratulations to everyone that got in. Commiserations to those who have not, I am sure it is not the end of the road and that when one door closes another opens.

Is someone not able to open the decision???

I had this issue, I had to log in through website -> application to sjd -> log in and choose my llm application to open

Hi - I was wondering if anyone else got into both Harvard and Yale and is having trouble making a decision! At this point I would love any advice.

Hi Everyone, I didn’t check my Harvard decision two days ago. I just tried to click the link in the email but it takes me to the financial decision page.  Did anyone experience this? How did you get to see your decisions please? 

Do you happen to know when the financial aid decisions were released last year?
