No. They have not sent out the email yet but I believe the result indeed has been released in the embark system.

I got waitlisted and I dunno what to do :'(... I got an admission from CLS and from NYU with 50% tuition fee scholarship. But then again, I want to wait for Harvard.. How can we know about the details of the waitlist or is there any chance that I can postpone the registration for the other schools...

Columbia is a great choice as well. Consider it seriously.

Good Luck

Hi Nilacar. Usually at Harvard, it is tough to get past the waitlist. Last year they admitted 180 students but sent acceptances to more than 240 students.

Therefore, the inference is that they deliberately send acceptances to far more people than they admit. This is because they may be having some idea of how many people decline or defer their admission, so that even after many declines, they have the desired number of acceptances. Two-three years back they had admitted 1-2 students from waitlist. Last year, they didn't.

Good luck.

Nilacar..CLS is just as prestigious as HLS, don't be deterred by HLS's higher ranking. NYU is also highly regarded. Unless you have a particular reason for waiting for HLS, such as a particular program that they offer, CLS would be my recommendation as the network there is VERY strong! That said, if finances are a question, 50% at NYU is awesome and makes up for the small shortcoming in prestige if compared to CLS and HLS!

If you refuse NYU...can you suggest that they offer that scholarship to me?! :-)

As a matter of fact a friend at Harvard told me that a few people got admission after being waitlisted for the year 2015. I also exchanged emails with Catherine as well who confirmed that there were admissions from waitlist in the past years. As far as I understand they do not keep a descending/ascending list but just decide thoroughly by looking into various factors. So I suppose there is chance for everyone in the waitlist although not as bright as we would expect it to be of course.

Thanks very much for the kind advice. I will consider seriously whethet to turn down the scholarship of course within the course of this week. Is there any chance that I can suggest you for the scholarship? :) If so sure I can :))

I am curious, guys. To everybody who got accepted, what do you think helped you to get into Harvard? Was is your grades? If so, how did you score in your home countries? Or was it rather your working experience? Or did you get into Harvard without having good grades at all but a strong personel statetement and good LORs?

It would be very helpful to get some advice from people that were accepted.

Thanks in advance!
