Hi there, I have been waitlisted too... Sadly... I guess that it is the same of being rejected, I don't think we have much of a chance. Is there any way to know where do we stand in the waiting list?

If I'm not wrong, you can write to them asking for your place on the waiting list. While they will not tell you the exact place, I think they do tell you what percentile you are on the waiting list. Also - it is usually a good idea to send them a statement of continued interest in joining Harvard. Some people even include an additional letter of recommendation to try and get bumped up the waiting list.

I didn't get any emails, but there could be many reasons for this. Does the wording not indicate whether it is a standard letter or something personal?

It is actually really nice of them to do that. It shows a great deal of interest in our application.

Has anyone with a financial aid (grant) offer declined to go to Harvard? If so, could you please share the amount that was offered to you?
