The track status provided by the law schools, if any, displays among others these status: "Application received" (when you submit it), and a few days later it changes to "Application complete" (after they've checked all the materials).

It should be posted on the status check site. The school makes the determination and I'm assuming it is when all your required docs are received, including the registrar form from your JD institution.

Gingerbread, when did you submit your application?
Posted Dec 09, 2013 15:52
On november 14th
Posted Dec 09, 2013 15:56
I submitted my application on November 12, but my status is still "Application Completed". How can that be?
Posted Dec 09, 2013 16:09
Hey, there is no need to worry. Maybe your application just randomly ended up at the bottom of the stack or something. Or maybe these things depend on what program/specialization you want.
Am sure you will hear from them soon.

Nelson, what program did you apply for?
I applied to the General Studies LL.M. program + Certificate in International Arbitration and Dispute Resolution.
Besides, one of the documents provided upon admission states that admitted students should "keep in mind that many of the students pursuing one of these flexible degrees (General Studies, International Studies or IBEL) change their degree title by the time they graduate. That means that students who begin in the International Legal Studies or IBEL programs may very well graduate with a General LL.M., or vice versa. Our advice is to focus on the courses you want; the name of the degree will follow from that."
This also is some great news !
