Hi guys! I am so excited, I applied to GULC General LLM program, my application was completed on January 21, I am waiting and I am so nervous!! have anyone applied around the end of January and already got admission? Please answer me and help me calm my nerves haha :) good luck to everyone!

Given the large number of regular action applicants, reviewing your application may take more time given the rolling process of admissions. Hang in there.

Hi,

Congratulations to everyone who have been admitted and good luck to all that is still in the waiting process.

I applied to Georgetown by the end of December for the IBEL program and have not heard from them yet. Is there anyone else out there who is in a similar situation? Are they a bit in delay in the admission process or is it something particular to me? any ideas?

best

I'm quite certain that this is not unique to your application. In fact, someone who applied late November received the admission decision only this February (see above). Reviewing your application may take more time given the rolling process of admissions. I say you have nothing to worry about in terms of the timeline. Hang in there.

Hi everybody,

I just noticed that I made two minor grammatical mistakes ( more related to preposition placement) in my Personal Statement. Will this terribly affect my chances? I am so terribly worried. Silly me

Haha, I hope not! I wrote "asylum seeker's" when I meant "asylum seekers'" in mine and I've been beating myself up over it for a month!

Hey,
Am sure the admissions committee knows that if they reject people due to such minor grammatical errors, they will miss out on a lot of talent.
Don't worry, and best of luck. :)

Hi!

I didn't apply to GULC, but my PS had a few minor grammar mistakes (I wrote "this" instead of "these" twice I think), so I can relate to your situation. At first I was beating up myself about it, just like you are, but by now I have realized that it doesn't matter, I have been admitted to a lot of good Unies, I have even received scholarship offers, regardless of those mistakes, so just relax and try not to worry about it, Im sure it won't affect your application.

Good luck!

I would not worry about innocent mistakes. I would like to believe that the admissions committee understands the level of preparation that applicants put into their documentation/requirements.

I wrote 2013 instead of 2014 in my research proposals and was beating myself for it :-( (didn't get any response as of yet though).

Hi,

I had applied to the Tax LLM at Georgetown last month and received an acceptance e-mail a few hours back! Yay!

Was wondering if anyone has any idea on when the decisions on scholarships/ fellowships are expected.

Got the admission email last friday! I was crying like a child, even though I am a 32 years old man, and a father of two.

I applied on january 9, and my application got the complete status the very next day.

Anyone plans to attend to the Open House event on campus? I might go. I want to begin looking for a kindergarden for my daughter.

Good luck to you all.
