Georgetown LL.M. 2014-2015

KJP

Does anyone know if there is a limit for how many letters of recommendation we can send to Georgetown? I know we have to send 2 to apply, which I did, but I've been placed on the waitlist and was wondering if I could send two more in support of my application...

I do not know if there is a limit, but I sent 3 recommendation letters.

Well the website doesn't say anything about a limit, just says there has to be two.

Can't hurt to send in two extra letters, can it?! Any suggestions?

It definitely won't hurt. Worst case is that the admissions committee will just disregard the 4th letter. In my opinion, both extra letters should be of the same caliber/character so that you won't necessarily be prejudiced if either will be disregarded.

Hey there,

I have sent the first deposit and will be enrolling to Georgetown. I'll probably attend to the summer courses but haven't made up my mind yet for sure.

See you all next fall.

Would you mind sharing your credentials? (Uni rank, TOEFL, if you have experience, who sent in letters of rec for you..etc). Thanks!

Hey, I am in the same situation, I was placed in waitlist last friday. I don´t know if my TOEFL score was the problem, I got 95 instead of 100.

Does anybody know if taking the TOEFL again and send a higher score to the Admissions Committee can help me to get admitted after the revaluation process?

I have a friend who got accepted with out delays and he had 96 as TOEFL score.

For waitlist candidates , i think this is a good link

To Comet ,
I think you can retake and summit new scores :)

Good luck

When and how did you make an application for financial aid? The LLM application form did not have any section on financial aid. From previous posts here I understand that all applicants are automatically considered for financial aid. Is that correct?

I did not submit any application. It is true that all applicants are considered for financial aid. I just sent an email to inquire about the status of possible financial aid in order to plan ahead. I suppose the Committee evaluated my standing and responded accordingly.

It would not hurt to send the Committee an email to inquire about your status. The Committee's response would definitely guide you in planning for enrollment.

Hi, my status still says "Application Completed" as of 2/20/2014. Are there people here on the same boat? When do you think I should expect a response?

Thank you!

You will be specializing in which field of law? What made you decide for Penn instead of GT?
