Just got my wait list email 10 minutes ago for the taxation program. Any advice on supplemental materials to help push me over the top when they look at me again?

Hi Bigfish, congratulations!
I have a few questions, if you don't mind.
Was your email ensuring your interest just plain and simple "I continue interested" or was it a personal statement of sorts?
Also, how did you send them the recommendation letter? E-mail, post? Since I applied through LSAC, I'm not sure how to go about this.

I've read online that Georgetown has a "preferred waiting list" and a regular one, does anyone know if this is true for the LLM program?

Thank you!!

I don't mind your question , I was in a same position as you too :)

Personally i made it not that plain &simple , i have told them a little bit more about my interest in the program and my plan for future career (yeah, just like the SOP version2 but in only 2 and a half paragraphs)

About The recommendation letter , I made it the same way i have sent it to LSAC ; sign across the ceal blah blah . But I also wrote a seperate letter to tell them about who am i and some info about this recomender. I summitted the package directly to their office. It arrived last Monday.

I hope this useful :)

Where will you be going Confiucious? :)

Anyone have any other tips as to what those of us on the waitlist could send over to help our case?

Hi Bigfish,
Congregation :) I am happy to hear that. I guess you are the one who have applied to the two years program which is the same program that I have applied to. The details that you provided are really helpful, and I am gonna do the same and more. Hopefully they will accept me.
If you do not mind me asking about your TOEFL score since I did not get the required score. You do not need to answer if you do not prefer to.

Hope to see you there.

Hey, I am in the same situation, I was placed in waitlist last friday. I don´t know if my TOEFL score was the problem, I got 95 instead of 100.

Does anybody know if taking the TOEFL again and send a higher score to the Admissions Committee can help me to get admitted after the revaluation process?

I have a friend who got accepted with out delays and he had 96 as TOEFL score.

Does anyone know if there is a limit for how many letters of recommendation we can send to Georgetown? I know we have to send 2 to apply, which I did, but I've been placed on the waitlist and was wondering if I could send two more in support of my application...

Well the website doesn't say anything about a limit, just says there has to be two.

Can't hurt to send in two extra letters, can it?! Any suggestions?
