So what will happen now? Anything we know from past practice?

Deferred.

Hi! I didn't apply for CLS but I know three applicants from Brazil who got accepted yesterday.
Deferred as well. Did *anyone* get accepted in early admission?

Like many people here, I've also been deferred to regular admission. Does anybody know how long we'll have to wait?

Just got admitted! So happy! Applied through the regular cycle, submitted my application in mid-November. From Sweden, so an international applicant. No decision regarding fin-aid yet though. Good luck to everyone!

Sadly no news regarding fin aid. Seems like decisions are made in March/April at the latest. We'll have to wait and see:)
Best of luck!

Last year most of the deferred students heard back only after regular cycle applicants received their decisions. That is quite annoying, because it punishes early birds, so those who wanted a decision as early as possible ended up being the last. So if someone wants an early decision, DO NOT APPLY IN THE EARLY BIRD CYCLE.

Seriously? That is unfair. QQ
I thought all the deferred applicants should have the same opportunities during the regular cycle.
It seems all the applicants admitted in January are from regular cycle.
Anyone has the same experience to share?

I agree, it's unfair that the early admission applicants appear to have been pushed back - haven't seen a single one of us deferred applicants get a decision yet... I really regret applying early.

I also got deferred to regular cycle and sensed the procedure is working like that. My guess is given that they have reviewed early applicants, they now take review on regular applicants, and give admission to strong applicants first. So there will not be unfairness involved in terms of review criteria I suppose, and it’s just that they go through whole applications and want to have holistic review.
But I agree from timing perspectives, it may be a bit unfair to early applicants who were hoping to hear early as they may feel like waiting for the longer period.
Don’t worry too much, we will be able to hear when the time comes! I trust the merit based review will not be tainted.

Good luck everyone!
