Hi everyone. Congrats to the admitted ones and good luck to those of us who are still waiting.

Was wondering if anyone from South America got admitted during the normal cycle?

Has anyone been in touch with the Office of Financial Aid to find out when financial aid decisions are likely to be released?

Hello. I was admitted on 10 March 2017 and received the e-mail at an ungodly time in the morning (as per Indian Standard Time). I am an Indian National and have close to three years work experience. Just wanted to share this information so that people are aware of the number of admitted students. Best of luck to everyone else, and I hope you hear soon.

For those who have been admitted -- did you receive the decisions for financial assistance in the email itself?

Also, for corporate law, Columbia or NYU - which one is preferable, especially from a global brand recall perspective. LLM is not a JD, therefore the job prospects in the US are just not comparable. So an LLM is as much about networking as about education. And both being situated in NYC, I am curious to know how each one is perceived internationally. For example, is Columbia tougher to get into than NYU, and therefore more prestigious.

Guys,
my status checker says: "Current Status: Decision has been emailed", but I didn't receive the email yet.
On the "Fees" box, now there are the dates and values of the first and second deposits.
Does this mean I am accepted?
Or is this an automatic change in the system once a decision (even rejection) is taken?

Is the order of assessment of applications really random? I have a deadline to accept other offers on 1 April - so would be good to have the answer (whatever it would be) to make an informed decision ...

Most of deadlines are on April 1, so I hope that all universities will try to send the answers out before that.

On that topic, is there anyone else left with "application complete"? I am not even under review yet!

Are we sure that the status should change to "under review"? I know it is the case with certain schools, but was under the impression that Columbia is not one of them.

Had checked with the Admissions Office on that, a few weeks ago. They clarified that our status will not change from "application complete" to "under review" or anything else, until the decision is rendered via email.

Guys, if you have deadlines to stick to, you can ask for expedited decisions, I know not all universities do it, but some of them do!

Personally I am not even under review either. I think we're good to wait until April haha

My status never changed to "Under review".
Mos importantly: some friends from my country received the answer yesterday.
I guess that there effectively is a "regional" selection.
