I applied on December 10th!


Congratulations Bhohr and taptwice! Since collecting stats is an oddly comforting process - do you recall when you received your "application complete" emails? :)


Mine became complete like 3 days after I applied.


December 23-ish... collecting stats has its perks, but I would not take it as a sign of destiny though :)

According to the apptracker, more people admitted since yesterday. I think we could receive a decision by anytime now...

Anyone still not having an application completion notification? Mine status still shows "your application has been received" and has not been updated for nearly one month.


I have the same problem. But I've convinced myself not to worry just yet :)


Hey, just updating the thread, i had the same problem, had submitted on 10th December, hadn't received the mail about the application being complete. That mail just came (i.e. 2-2-17), just updating in case anyone is worried about it being stuck, it's not, they just seem to be taking forever to process.

Certainly when you don't have a specific date set by the University the wait is much more stressful.. You may find that e-mail at any given time in your mailbox whereas in cases such as Chicago's and Harvard's admission decisions you know you won't receive anything until that date...

If I'm not mistaken, if the application status still shows "application complete", there's little chance of getting any news soon... However, if it shows "under review" than you'll probably be contacted soon, for good or for bad..

I've noticed two of my applications (to other schools) have changed from "application complete" to "under review" recently... I don't see why Columbia should be different...

I've noticed two of my applications (to other schools) have changed from "application complete" to "under review" recently... I don't see why Columbia should be different...

I think it's totally random. I got in last week and my status was "application complete" until the day after I received the acceptance email.

Congratulations, redstag77! May I ask which country you're from? I am trying to figure out if - in the event that they are working their way through applicants based on geographical pools - they have arrived at Asia yet.
