TFC, maybe other schools haven't finished their application proceedings, but I'm positive they have already, at this point, provided the applicants with one of these responses: admitted, rejected or waitlisted.
I've applied to 5 different schools and received replies from 4 of them timely. I sent my application to CLS on November and it was declared "complete" by CLS on December 6. On a rolling-basis system, I believe I should have already gotten a response, even if I was waitlisted. I paid a fee to have my application revised and I have the right to have a response within a reasonable timeframe.
Let's face it: whatever answer CLS send me right now is completely useless. I've already made my decision (forced by CLS incompetence) and, even if CLS accepted me now, I wouldn't have time to make all visa arrangements (and I'm positive CLS admissions office knows that this happens in several countries).
So, although I respect that you are really happy with the education you're getting from CLS and although I'm sure it is indeed and excellent school, please don't tell me that CLS admission proceeding is the same as any other school. It is not. It is WAY worse. The admission office shows absolutely NO respect towards applicants.
I will definetely advise future friends/attorneys not to apply to CLS unless its their dream school. It's money tossed down the toilet.
Paula, I absolutely agree. In my case, it was a total waste of money, and what it is worse, time and effort (not to mention that people who wrote my letters of recommendation can´t understand that I didn´t even received and answer).
That´s why I am very happy with my decision of enrolling NYU. I think I made the appropiate choice, even I if I would have been actually admitted to CLS.
