Columbia admission process

Disney's great! Who has better diversity policies Disney or HLS? I'm not even talking about Columbia any more. I'm kinda dissapointed with their ad. process. I have to make up my mind byu April 17, and no response from CLS.

Admitted!! Got an email this morning from Marietta.
Already withdrew NYU and will do the same with CLS as soon as possible to get some places for those still having a hope for admission.

I'm in at Colmbia; just got the e-mail. The title says Admission Status. I'm going to decline their offer though.

Congrats asterion!!!...Just have one question...did Columbia get back to you on their own or you had to write to them asking for a speedy decision???

Thanks to everyone! And good luck to all of you!
Yes, the subject of the email is Admission Status. They came to me on their own, I didn't push at all.
Anushka, I am going to enroll at Harvard.

Thanks, you guys. I did not push at all, and Columbia came with a response on their own (a bit late though). I will e-mail Columbia and other universities to decline their offers today. Is an e-mail ok to decline an offer or should you send a more formal letter?? Any experience on the matter? Thanks !

The best way to decline an offer is to send a letter or email and to add the name of the applicant you want to have your seat. In your case, its me. Thanks alot, I appreciate.

Asterion, I believe that an email message is enough. However, when I declined some offers for adm., I preferred to send a signed PDF letter attached to an email. The reason was that I had appreciated the assistance received by the law school and I thought that they deserved my thakfulness in a more formal way. It's just my opinion (btw, not all law schools deserves thanks)...

I agree with Acknow. I sent a signed letter saying thanks and justifying why I declined their offer. I though some of these schools (Georgetown, UMich) deserved a warm feedback.

Hi, Acknow, I decided to enroll at NYU, regardless of the outcome of CLS admission process... As a matter of fact, in my field of study (taxation), NYU is better, so having an acceptance of CLS would not make any difference at all...

Btw, Anushka, do you have any news? Will I finally meet you at NYU or are you having second thoughts?

I did the same way, since a paper copy DHL delivery to US will cost me at least $80 per each school. However, as per the enrollment I will send 'em both a paper copy and an email.
