I would personally choose the fullbright option...In my case, since I havent received aid from the schools where I was admitted so far, I have to go for "ranking"...but if I had the opportunity of studying with such privilege of having everything covered (financially), I wouldnt think twice.

I wonder if applying for financial aid adversely affects chances of admission. I filled out the form stating that I only had half the money required to do the LLM. A friend of mine did not apply for any financial assistance and was admitted over 6 weeks ago. His grades were not as high as mine and he has no legal experience.

I did not apply for financial aid but still didn't hear anything about Columbia neither.

Has anybody else heard about Columbia lately?

That's pretty stupid. I've learned through this experience that admissions involves a lot of subjectivity and luck.

do you really think so? I'm inclined to believe these schools are keen to make money, not give it away...

waiting for godot...hahaha...i hated the book and the play...just watching it was incredibly annoying...cant believe its happening in real life...

Just received a very strange email from Columbia. It was completely blank for about a page, followed by Marietta LaFargue's address on the bottom. Not sure if something is wrong with my email. Did anyone else get this?

jdi: no, but i got an email from marietta saying the all the files are being reviewed as quickly as possible...(that's in response to my email asking her if she got my fax)...so conclusion: screw the fax...

I think its hilarious that LLM-Guide.com has created its own "inside" jokes...

you could be at a party in 15 years and someone's LLM comes up in conversation and you say: did you receive the first test email or second test email?

those "in the know" will chuckle, while others will awkwardly try to change the topic of conversation
