Thanks for your honest and hearty post...I am still waiting to hear from CLS...but dont be disappointed...it is just Columbia's bad luck to lose an opportunity to invite you to CLS...if you did what you could do, I believe that's enough......we cannot expect them to recognize one's true merit by merely reviewing the application materials...You can prove you are as good as any other applicant admitted to CLS while in another great school...cheers~

Hey, so is it prudent to still give it a shot for CLS. I've'nt yet filled in the application.
Also, is registration with LSAC necessary, does it help.

Hi Roberto,
You mentioned you were offered admission at NU? Sorry, what school is this?

Geruva, thank you for your sensitive comment. And Yes, i did my best to put together a presentable and neat application. I'm not very sure that a Committee is totally able to strictly and fairly assess more than 1,600 applications. I think that many valuable applicants are disregarded because of this. I hope you'll earn a place at GLS!! Good Luck!!.
Finally, NU stands for Northwestern University.

Hey Roberto, Northwestern is a great school...Congrats on that!
Btw, I'm waiting for CLS to decide, but I am aware of the fact that the competition is immense...
I gave it a shot too, let's see what they think.
Mucha suerte en todo!
Saludos,
Ana.

I still haven't heard anything from CLS, neither have heard of any Brazilians accepted or rejected. The fact that they don't have a deadline to send a response is killing me...

Hola! Anushka! No estaba tan lejos. Suerte en tu decisión de Columbia!!!

Thanks Roberto...This whole waiting period is not "healthy" for me, but whatever has to happen will happen...
Where are you from anyways?
Suerte en NU!

I was in the same boat but my unease has completely gone away since i learned about my rejection from GLS. I recommend you keep a positive attitude and try not to brood on the present uncertainties.
I'm from Dominican Republic.

In your opinion how much are the estimated costs of living in New York as a modest student?
Depends on what you life style is. I anticipate the one year budget for the modest LLM student to be approximately $60K including tuition, books, etc. Don't tell me it is higher in reality )))

Not at all, Ana...

Have you heard about any applicant to CLS rejected by e-mail or letter?
I am asking because I have heard about a guy from my country who was admitted (I have not), but I have not heard about anyone rejected by e-mail or letter.
I want to know if I can still be accepted.

my guess is that the rest will hear from CLS after Mar. 15 since -if I'm not mistaken- admitted students have the Mar. 15 deadline to enroll...

I have been admitted by CLS but they did not set a deadline to enroll so far.
