I have heard that Columbia has started sending out acceptances in the last couple of days. This is confirmed. I have not got one myself though! This confirms the story that Columbia acceptances start fairly early.

How can they do that if they haven't even opened all applications yet? the accept on a rolling basis?

Could anybody comment on the countries from which these people come who have been admitted so far? Does anybody know whether Columbia sents out its acceptances by countries? That is probably just "wishful thinking"...

My friend is Spanish, just like me. Maybe this year they are starting by the Spaniards...

hey i've been accepted by columbia. i got my acceptance on the 12th of Jan. A friend of mine also got his acceptance around the same time. Both of us are from India. Astroturf, r u from NLS?

I've been accepted already in November, shortly after I had transmitted my application. Will you be going to CLS?

Obligator: I'm still waiting for Harvard and NYU before making my decision. Tho i dont really kno whether i'll take NYU over Columbia or vice versa, if accepted to NYU as well. WIll definitely prefer Harv to columbia. Have applied to Yale, but realistically dont rate my chances too high there. do u plan to go to columbia?

Nirvana: Thanks. I'm a student. Dont have any work ex except internships. I sent in my application around the 10th of December. The e-mail did not specify whether or not I was being given any financial assistance. I think that process will begin now. The mail said, and i quote:
"...I am pleased to inform you of your admission to Columbia University School of Law's 2006-2007 LL.M. program. We were very impressed with your academic and professional credentials, and sincerely hope you will be part of our LL.M Class of 2007. A formal letter will be sent to you this coming week. In the meantime, you can obtain information about the Law School and the University from our web sites: www.law.columbia.edu and www.columbia.edu.

We hope that we will see you at Columbia this year.

I received my "file complete" notification on December 16th.

congrats to you guys who got admission...regrettable I didnt got one yet...
I'm from Korea, and heard that one Korean guy received rejection e-mail on Jan 14, the other guy got an admission e-mail on Jan 18...
The fact that CLS gave both rejection mail and admission mail to Korean guys makes me pretty impatient and nervous...
Have any idea when CLS will complete sending out the results?

nyways i think ur right in chosing columbia over NYU (but thats largely coz i personally dont like large programs, kinda get lost in the class!!) but then again lot depends upon your areas of interest..
