CLS 2013

idodee

You guys can take a look at last year's CLS thread:
http://www.llm-guide.com/board/110464/1#post-111431

I will quote two messages people wrote on that thread, which made me believe that starting from tomorrow we will hear from CLS:

"I received my admission offer from CLS in the second week of January (regular cycle). I believe that they 're indeed reviewing applications and issuing decisions on a "rolling basis".
Good luck to you all."

"Hello everybody! I was also admitted on mid January.
Good luck !"

I am really nervous about the decisions, and I want to believe that we will know as soon as possible what is our verdict, for the good or the worse :)

Good luck all.

Has anyone from "regular cycle" received any "application complete" message yet?

I finalized my LSAC material on Dec. 14 and sent the physical documents in early November directly to CLS, as they suggested.

Thanks

I have received application complete e-mail and I am in the regular cycle. I think that most of the people that applied to the regular cycle have received that e-mail.

Really, idodee?

I only received the "Columbia Law School Application Submitted" email, on Dec 14, which reads:

"The Office of Graduate Legal Studies will send you, by email, the following information regarding your application: (1) notification of missing application items, if applicable; and (2) notification that your application is complete. Due to the large volume of applications we receive and the time it takes to process them, there is often a significant delay between when we receive materials and when applicants are notified of their completed file. Please understand that we are therefore unable to confirm the receipt of admissions materials or to answer questions regarding your application status over the telephone, nor can we provide information regarding the receipt of specific documents, as such requests slow the processing time of your application. *****We aim to notify all applicants as to the receipt of their application materials by late January*****."

I'm still waiting for this (2) email and counting on being notified by the end of January. It is the only university (out of 6) which has not replied to me with a "aplication complete" yet.

Should I be worried about it? Anyone else on same situation?

Tnx

Hey llm.in.time, don't worry i'm in the same situation.

I sent my online application on Nov 27 and received a 'missing application materials' on Dec 5. I wrote them an email a few days ago as I still haven't received any email confirming that my application was complete and just got a mail from them:

"Thank you for your email. Unfortunately we can not confirm receipt of individual documents. Please allow another week or two to receive an update on your application."

That's what I suspected, Louka. Thank you for clarifying, and preventing me from bothering the Admission Office.

I'll wait.

I received the email as well, but it took nearly a month after I had mailed all my documents... don't worry!!

Another week gone without decisions I guess. Best of luck for the coming one.

Let the guessing begin! My guess is that since last weeks prediction failed, they will start releasing offers earliest on Wednesday next week. This is based on that Monday is a public holiday and on the assumption that none wants to do any real work on the first day after a long weekend :D

Ha! Guessing is right - im pretty much about to start reading tea leaves, coffee granules and astrology charts. But look, if someone says "it will be this week" at the start of every week, someone is bound to be right...right?

This is also a guess, but I do not think that they'll be sending out decisions until next week at the earliest. I kind of prepared mentally for decisions in February, but then again, you never know...
