Hi Applicant2009,
I was among the top 2% of my class and I have four years of work experience in the most renowned law firms worldwide as well as with a government body.

Crimlawyer, sorry but I believe in not disclosing too much information. As I do not know if I have received a standard Email or not, I won't copy the text of the Email. However, I can tell you that further information on the procedure would follow by Email this week (which I have not yet received).
On a personal note, I cannot understand why people ask if anyone was already accepted into the program, but nonetheless do not believe it if someone actually shares their information.
Nonetheless, good luck to you.
I never asked anyone if they were admitted. As to whether you have been admitted or not, it is a bit hard to believe you since you became a member just yesterday and you are reluctant to share even the simplest information on you. However I really wish to believe you, since it will only mean results are closer .

@YHS;BRIGHTEST;CRIMLAWYER;APPLICANT 2009.
I will like to give YHS the benefit of the doubt by believing that he has been admitted to CLS. My sincere congratulations.
However, on the other hand it will be highly unfortunate for users of this site to delibrately mislead or post false information on this public site. The essence of this site is to assist each other in our pursuit for further qualitative legal education.
On my personal enquiry i called the CLS office today 12.00noon New York time and i was reliably informed that offers for early review will be sent in late December.
I wish everyone best of luck but most importantly i pray i am admitted.

well, i haven't heard from CLS so far... I thought emails were sent by Dec 12th? Isn't it what CLS website says? I don't want to sound too doubtful, but does the dean usually picks up his phone and tells you you're admitted...??
anyway, if that's true, i'm gonna sleep/eat/live by my phone now, in case the dean calls me :)

Guys (or girls, are there any here??), what difference does it make really if YHC was called or was not? To the individual candidate this means absolutely nothing, as all attempts to analyze the date of the decision by considering date of application/credentials/location has proven futile in the past. I can assure you there's no great logic behind the time of your decision - the only thing that we DO know for sure, is that their deadline is Dec 31st. Everything else is nothing but pure speculation, perhaps suitable for killing time or fighting anxiety, but nonetheless just mindgames.
Threds from previous years do indicate that applicants have been called at times. They also indicate that the decision process stretches all throughout December, but is heavily emphasized on its last couple of days. That is exactely what jboy14 apparently got confirmation about today. Accept the fact that you won't know when it happens. After all, surprises are always, well, at least interesting :)

You are perfectly right twelfth. But I am very anxious about this result from Columbia because I think It will serve as an indicator for the other universities I applied. And, obviously, Columbia is an excellent university.

OMG, this is really getting very bad...I was trying not to worry and not to think about it too much since I thought the decisions are going to be made in the end of dec - I was about to save my nerves until then...at least until mid of dec. But if they already started sending out offers, then its like everyday is a "maybe...I hope..." day to open your emails. Oh well, what we can possibly do...Let us have enough patience and will to go through this!!!
YHC, my sincere congrats to you!!! You must me really a unigue and special candidate for them. You are truly lucky and I am glad that someone already got over the pain of waiting the response.
Best

I somewho feel I must apologise for starting this post... seeing the amount of speculation this has started... I really apologise if all this has started stressing most people out... but I must add that I am one of them also... I have absolutely decided that I am not going to put up any more posts like this....

I do believe some "highly promising" candidates receive their decisions significantly earlier than most others who will be admitted. As far as I know, both HLS and CLS adopt this approach. Be finger-crossed

wats all dis happening guys......ppl are giving false news of getting admission confirmation....i mean with due respect to YHS......Jboy14 good job......i dnt who's right n who's wrong.....but i hope all of us get good news in some way or the other..............

I saw last year early review postings, and it seems that applicants received an answer anywhere from 13th to 31st of december.
Posted Dec 02, 2008 08:13
Random time-kiling type of question: Did you guys attach a photo of yourselves to the certification letter? Generally I'd prefer an application where even a subconscious influence of immediate sympathy or lack of it towards a picture is excluded, on the other hand you don't wanna leave a field asking for you picture blank, even if optional. Just looks as if you've got something to hide imo.
Posted Dec 02, 2008 09:36
i attached my picture. what about you?
Posted Dec 02, 2008 09:52
Yes, I did eventually. I only realized it on the day of the Early Review deadline so I just grabbed the nearest picture, looking a bit hungover/too serious, but what the hell.
Posted Dec 02, 2008 11:07
hey i also attched my picture....i dnt think it makes much of a difference anyway..........somehow i have a feeling tha CLS results would satrt coming next week.......all the best to all......but YHS, whosoever he might be, has givenall of a grt deal of shock and humour finally......i was actually worried to know dat he got the results.......but this guy (or gal) has vanished altogether from the picture......crimlawyer is good at suspecting because i was reading the whole trail of board post which evidenced that he suspected YHS much before the story unveiled........good work crimlawyer and surely an appreciation pat to jboy............
