Out of all the law schools that i have applied for CLS is the only one with an early review option. I was wondering if anyone who has opted for the early review application has heard anything from them. This waiting thing is turning out to be much more tough than I thought. Just waiting for all this to be over....

Same here, but relax, it's only November 27th. I wouldn't expect any news until at least mid-December, most probably the last ten days of the year, though. I just thought about this and think that the worst of the three outcomes would actually be the transfer to the reglar cycle. I'm naturally impatient but this would just be inhumanely agonizing :)

I am also agonizing while waiting for early review. But I can tell you something. If I am accepted, I will party my head off this new year`s eve!!!

Thanks for the responses... I guess patience is the name of the game.....

Actually, I have already received news that I have been accepted to CLS last Friday. The dean of graduate studies first called me and later sent an Email confirming that I had been accepted. But maybe it just takes CLS a little while to inform all applicants that have been accepted. Anyways, good luck to all of you.

YHC congratulations!!! last friday??? when did u submit your application? where are u from?
Posted Nov 27, 2008 19:34
I don't know exactly when I have submitted my application, but I think it must have been in early October. I'm from Western Europe.

Wow, that is something I was not expecting! Hope they call me very very soon!!! ( to say I was admitted....)

If this is true....
Posted Nov 27, 2008 20:24
Crimlawyer, this is definitely true!!!
Posted Nov 27, 2008 20:29
I surely hope it is. And you must be a very good candidate as well. But could you copy the text of the acceptance e-mail? (removing your name surely)
Anyways, as Columbia does not evaluate on a rolling basis, this must mean the decision making process is somehow reaching a conclusion ( ate least for early apps)

Crimlawyer, sorry but I believe in not disclosing too much information. As I do not know if I have received a standard Email or not, I won't copy the text of the Email. However, I can tell you that further information on the procedure would follow by Email this week (which I have not yet received).
On a personal note, I cannot understand why people ask if anyone was already accepted into the program, but nonetheless do not believe it if someone actually shares their information.
Nonetheless, good luck to you.

YHC CONGRATULATIONS¡¡¡
I definitely believe you and think that is great to have been accepted already.
Did they offer you some financial aid?
Are you going to accept their offer or did you apply to some other university as good as Columbia (such as Harvard or Yale)?

Thanks a lot. I'm really thrilled.
My overall TOEFL-score is 115 (on the iBT). As mentioned before, I do not like to disclose too much information, so I will not mention my subsection scores; however, they have all been above 25.
Actually, I have applied for financial aid, but not yet received any information on this. Until now I only have the information that I have been accepted, but no further information. I hope to receive such information this or maybe next week, but do not know how long it will take them to make these decisions.
Anyways, I have applied to several other schools as well (including YLS and HLS). So let's see...

YHC
What will you do if accepted in HLS or Yale too? I believe is a tough choice as all of them are great.

Well, I know it would be really though choice. But first of all, I would have to be accepted by HLS and YLS as well (and I'm not sure what my chances are).
