Thanks!Alie, kenin.
I talk about something more detail. May it help those who are still waiting.
I got a email from Berkeley yesterday. It said that they put my name on the waiting list and asked me to reply if I will wait. That's all.
I guess they review applicants country by country. They give admitted applicants two weeks to reply whether they will accept the offers. For the reason, I may receive the final decesion in a month.
By the way, I am surprise about the size of LL.M. program at Berkeley. They accept 65 out of more than 600 applicants. 65 is not a big number and is not a small one. The size of LL.M is nearly equal to that at Penn Law(80).
Good Luck to all who are still waiting.:)

Don't loose your expectations. I have a friend who got into a top 14 law school through waitlist last year. She was discouraged with the first e-mail, but the good news came afterwards.
To those who were already admitted: I am getting concerned with the postal letter. They sent me the admittance e-mail on Feb 10, and I havent heard about the letter so far. Did any of you receive it? If yes, where do you live?

I called Boalt Hall and ask about postal letter. They said they didn't send any postal letters at all and they will send soon.
So don't worry about that.

Chslee
My understanding is that we don't have to reply the acceptance e-mail, and just wait for the postal letter and then make a response within two weeks. Is that correct? I did not get a postal letter as far, too.

No postal letter so far either. In fact I kinda hope that the postal letter arrives not so early, preferably after I hear from other schools so that I have time to make a decision.

aprilchen ...2 weeks start after we receive the postal letter (I had confirmed this with their office)...I am also not in a hurry to get it, since I 'd want to hear from other schools before deciding...

Thanks for your response, ritullm. Then I don't have to worry about missing the deadline.

What a coincidence! The letter just arrived at my house (I havent seen it yet).

you guys,
I'm starting to worry. I have not heard from Berkeley since my file complete notice. They said not to write unless urgently required, but would you suggest I phone them, or should I just wait a little more. Any one else in the same situation? Do you know if they've made all decisions?

Hi Alie471
I am in the situation with you. I submited my application documents on 10th,Dec. I doubt that they decide according to application date. Hope above friends who have received decision information could tell us when they submited application forms.

I submitted mine around 15 Nov, quite early I guess. The email of admission arrived on 22 Feb.
Posted Mar 09, 2006 15:59
asterion, don't worry! If you received the file complete notice then I guess your file is currently being processed. I don't think they send out any other notice than that, except the letter of there decision. So if I were you I wouldn't worry about it. But if your still worried why don't you phone them. I've called several times asking about the results. They won't ask for your name, at least they didn't ask for mine so give it a try. But if your asking about your personal file than they will need to have your name though. Anyway chill out the wait will come to an end sooner or later! We are all here for each other!!!

Thanks for the support kenin. I guess I'll wait (won't call for now). Aren't you guys hooked on the wait.. wait junkies, aren't we all? How will life be after the wait...without checking this web site or our e-mails every other hour after sending a business e-mail or completing a legal document, hanging up the phone, or even returning from a meeting? This is cool... I'll continue to enjoy it and look forward to perhaps meeting some of you. Best of luck!

Did Boalt send out a complete notice?
Is it different from the one which said that, "We are pleased to inform you that your application for admission has been received by the Advanced Law Degree Programs Office at the University of California, Berkeley School of Law."?
I received the above notice last December and could not hear further...Did everybody receive another "completion notice"?
Should I contact Boalt to check if mine was completed at all?

yep that's the email that I was refering to. anyone received anything else?
well since the wait is still on let's talk about something else for the mean time.
if you do get admitted what are your future plans after boalt? i'd like to practice in the US. does anyone know how many llm holders from boalt get employed after graduation? it seems that everyone's saying if you wanna practice with a llm than you gotta go to HLS, SLS or Yale. what do you all think?

To Gevurah,
I am on the same boat with you. No information since.
Those who are admitted already, did you guys receive completeness notification?

well i guess it isn't quite the time to start a conversation about the far future when we are all so anxious to know what will become of us tomorrow!
actually i think i might the most anxious of all since I'm like sticked to this board! u can probably see my post everywhere.
anyway i don't mind waiting for good news but if it's bad news that's coming i rather hear it sooner!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I know how you feel. The waiting is driving me mad. With each passing day I seem to get more frustrated. I just want to know the decision as soon as possible.
I am also stressed about the fact that apparently Boalt is already sending out letters to applicants on waiting list. Does that mean that all acceptances have been sent?
