Hi Krusty00...Hope you are right...The most surprising is that they emailed me last thursday saying that they resend an email to my referees. Just the day after they told me that I was rejected...
Why did King's College reject my application?

May be...So I am likely to be rejected by UCL and LSE too...As a result of this admission process we can say that they don't accept the best applicants...Very strange!
Hmm, I don't agree...They decide on a rolling basis and they only face great applicants...being no. 1 does not automatically meamn that you are the best candidate!!!

right now i am only looking at UK Law schools. US is too expensive. this is o disouraging. I have 76 % in my bachelors and am also a position holder in my uni. i so badly want to go there.
It depends on where you're studying! I received scholarships in the US and since particularly London is one of the most expensive cities in the world, I'd say it has not too be more expensive in the US. However, I do not believe that UPenn still accepts applications!

@ MAB 79 - I understand that but the deadlines for the best ones are already over. So this year I cant apply to the tier 1 ones in the US and have good chances of scholarship at the same time.

You can apply to the tier 1 but not to the top schools (us news considers not only the top 5 as tier 1). Vanderbuilt, a great uni still accepts applications e.g.

I think theres something wrong with KCLs system I find it hard to believe that theyd keep myapplication running if they werent accepting anyone else. The best thing to do: ring them up and/or send them an email.

I think this is a lesson for everyone that it's important to apply early, especially when applying to the 'better' schools. You have to remember that when applying to the most prestigious schools there are hundreds (and for some schools, thousands) of highly qualified applicants competing for spaces. Even if you are very qualified you are severely limiting your chances for admission if you don't apply at the same time as everyone else, because we have to remember that most applicants are qualified in the first place. Competition is, after all, pretty fierce.
I'm sure if you all apply again next year around October you'll have much better chances of getting in. Good luck to everyone.

I have recently been rejected by KCL.
They said "your application has now been carefully considered and unfortunately you don't meet the academic entrance requirements for the programme".
I am currently attending my first LLM Programme in Sweden and would like to pursue my second one in the U.K. Thus I am thinking to ask them for further explaination regarding their decline decision.

Hm, I don't think that they will explain anything further. They just decided that you do not match the requirements. It's not easy to understand. A good friend of mine got rejected but the email said that he meets the requirements but is not as good as other applicants (not the exact wording but between the lines).

Thank you for your application to King's College London. Your application has now been carefully considered and unfortunately you do not meet or are not predicted to meet the academic entrance requirements for the programme. Therefore, I regret to inform you that you have been unsuccessful in obtaining a place on the programme.
May we take this opportunity to wish you every success with future applications.

actually, the last of couple of years , KCL has been tougher on the acceptance front, especially if you opt for competition or finance law.
