Why did King's College reject my application?

winter6

oh and also if you dont mind me asking what grade you got on your undergard course and what you were predictied. I got a 2.2 in my second year which would naturally mean i will aim for a 2.1, my stupid referee put she expected me to get a 2.2, it was all done electronically so i didnt get to see the reference untill i did my one for queen mary as they wanted it scanned, if i had known what she had wrote i would have got someone else to write it up!

there was no interview whatsoever so dont worry about that!

mine was 2.1 but the grades in the last year were not that great believe me but my recommendations were very very good

I have to agree that references are extremely important, PUCCA.

I very much wish that the referee in question had encouraged you to find someone else to write your letter, winter6. Don't lose hope, however. Wait to hear from UCL and Queen Mary, and then make your best decision, of course. I wish you good luck!

just to confirm that KCL is still open for LLM application.
I submitted my application on 25 Feb 2010.
got a conditional offer on 25 March 2010.
it took 1 month to review my app.

I got an offer from QM so I think I'll go there. They provide variety of choices and I am getting so confused now.
Still, feeling very bad about the rejection from KCL :((
Good luck to ya

hey...I too got an offer from QML but got rejected from KCL! Know how you feel :-(
Awaiting UCL.
Yes, it seems that QML has a variety of subjects to choose from and few of my friends who have already done their LLMs in London told me that its a good place for corporate law which is what I am planning to do...

I am sorry I am unable to help you there. I dont know what my predicted results were. The person I know who is goin there has a 2.1. I got a 2.2 for my degree, but have a 2.1 equivalent for my bar exam.
I have my fingers crossed over my UCL application. As far as I know it is not only your grades that count for a successful application but also any relevant work experiance, research ability, good references, availability of the subjects that you want to do there etc..
Anyway cheer up :-)
What I have told myself is that I wont get upset even if ucl rejects me. I will still get to go to QMUL....:-)
