Welcome to everybody. First of all, congratulations to all offer-holders.
I received an unconditional offer as well. I also received an unconditional offer of KCL an Edinburgh. Up to now, I have not yet made my decision. Any help with regard to these three universitites? I am in particular interested in corporate law and competition law.

Greetings fellow UCLrs! I was wondering if by any chance anybody knows when should UCL publish the final course list for this year, along with the corresponding timetable...?

Hi evevryone! I have one more query and would really appreciate if someone can reply. Is there any timeline to provide the English Test Result for an unconditional offer? Further, If I don't provide the same within the next month, will the same affect my accomodation application?
Thanks!
Thanks!

Hi everybody,
Please notice that UCL made some additional changes to the list of modules available for 2012 - 2013.
Have you picked the modules and specialism that you are going to take?
PS: Maybe we should open another post (or a Facebook group) for the people that will be definitely joining UCL this year, to get to know each other better before arrival in september.

My offer letter says that I need to provide the English language test result before the start date in September. So I think any time before then is fine.

Hello everyone,
although I had passed the IELTS exam, I planned to take the 5-weeks pre-sessional english course for academic purposes, but UCL website says that applications are now closed. Do you think extra places will be available later?

Hey everyone!
I have received an unconditional offer for the incoming class of 2012- 2013. I was interested in asking all the offer holders as to what is going to be their choice of accommodation? Is anyone planning on applying for private accommodation?
Would love to meet other prospective students through this post.

Thanks Lizette112162! I applied in Feb second week and received a conditional offer a month later on the online portico site. I did not receive an email notification, thus, it is important to track the progress of your application on the web portal. Hope you receive your soon! All the best

Hey,
I have also received an unconditional offer for this year and I am deciding now whether to fulfill an accommodation form or to seek for a private accommodation..
If anybody is going to London before the actual start in September, let me know - I`ll be there on 19th ,20th and 21st June (then im off to Ireland). It would be great to meet you. Its also a good idea to organize a Facebook group of people definitely joining UCL this year or something similar!
Good luck to others still waiting for the responses!
Take care in see ya in September!:)

Hi everyone!
Does anybody know when should we expect contact from UCL regarding the much needed visa to move to the UK?
Also, do you know if there are any other requirements (medical insurance, etc.) that need to be fulfilled before starting the program?
Cheers!

Hi Wolfenix,
1. Visa.
I asked UCL about the visa and this is what they replied:
"We will contact all overseas students later in the year around June/July as the CAS numbers required to obtain UK visas are valid for a maximum of 3 months".
2. Medical insurance:
This is what I found at UCL website:
"All students admitted to universities in the UK are advised to be vaccinated against Meningitis C and MMR. Check with your doctor to ensure all your vaccinations are up to date to cover your time at university.
UCLs Health Centre includes a National Health Service (NHS) General Practice, a Dental Surgery and a Student Counselling Centre, and is open to all students. All international students who are on a programme lasting more than six months are eligible for treatment on the NHS for the duration of their programme. International students on programmes which last less than six months should take out medical insurance for the duration of their stay."
I think there are no further requirements, but let me know if you find out something else.
Regards!
