Hi,
Just received an email from UCL that I am offered a place for 2012 LLM, very happy now.
Opening up this post to meet other potential classmates (I know many of you are also nervously waiting for the other offers, just like me) and chit chat with those would like to apply for UCL LLM.
Cheers!

Hi, cng1238, congratulations on your offer. I intend to specialize in Corporate Law. What about you?
BTW, is it necessary to pay a reservation fee?

I am looking at human rights law and public law. UCL seems to have a very good selection of offering in these fields, though it may not be the best place to study human rights law....

Hi,
I was thinking of applying to UCL however I think my grades are too low, I have a very low 2:1 and I am currently doing exams to be a lawyer (hopefully may add to my application) , I am just wondering that the people who did get offers were your grades 1st's or high 2:1's?

Hi, I still don´t understand the British grading system, but I ranked 1st in my law class.
Does any of you guys know how long does it take the formal offer to be sent? Do they send them through email or by courier.
Hope to meet you next year if I finally enroll at UCL.

I applied by mail in 09 and the offer letter was supposed to arrive in the mail as well. The problem is that it never did... about twelve days after I got the email saying I'd been recommended for admission, I called them up and had the offer letter faxed to me. That was enough to quech my anxiety and also kick off the rest of the procedures, such as accepting the offer, applying for scholarships etc...
