here i'll have to agree with paddy and shabi - wait and watch - sigh - the irritating part is that we have been waiting to get that one email for all these months, and then it comes, an otherwise nicely drafted email but effectively asking you to wait for another 4 - 8 weeks!!!!!!!!

@shabi - am from india, applied to hls, ox and cam.. you???

Could all those fortunate souls who were admitted (and even those on the waitlist) provide some personal data, so others can get a better idea of what the program is looking for? first law degree ranking and institution, and any outstanding accomplishments would be really helpful. I appreciate it! Thanks.

so that makes it 4 on the waiting list as per the disc. boards - i agree with shabi that it really can't be more than 15 (50% is indeed a lot), but i'll stick to an estimate of anything between 6-10 - but then again, percentages might not work given paddy's input that more than 30 offers might have been sent - this is turning out to be very interesting indeed.. 4-8 weeks it is then :P

Congratulations to those who got in and those who made it getting on the waiting list.
My application was not successful as ox told me yesterday.
It's sad, but so I'm off to KCL now.

Enjoy the MLF!
Cheers!

@ Judas - I am from India too. Applied to LSE and MLF. Did you get through BCL?

While 6-10 would be a dream number, my gut feeling is that there is far less probability that 4 out of 10 waitlisted commented on this post. I fear the number could be higher. Irrespective of the total number waitlisted, what is pertinent is one's position in the waiting list. You could be number 1 on a 100 applicant waiting list--boom boom - cake walk.

Is there a way to find out what number you are on the wait list?

Would they typically provide that information?

I am afraid not as it would lead to speculation.

Someone can make an attempt and write to them.

@Judas19 - you shouldn't be glad to know I am from India because, it means you face more competition from similarly placed applicants :-)

Are you working right now? Bombay/delhi?

well whether we like it or not, we'll remain competitors even if we get through, and even if we don't get through.. still, am glad to know that there's someone from india who'll probably understand many little geo-generic things which non-indians won't - for e.g., the difference in the work cultures in bombay or delhi, and the kind of person one shapes up to be given these little differences :-)

am working in delhi.. you?
