Hi everyone!
As I've got no answer from Oxford so far I am already considering that I am under the wait list, provided that few others colleagues here have already received an answer from Oxford and they were waitlisted.
So: is there any possibility of Oxford contacting applicants in such an order that does not take into account the result of applicants' application? i.e., Oxford informs you about the outcome of your application considering some data (register no., name, country, etc.) which does not relate to your rank in the MLF application process?
If your are contacted by Oxford based on your position in the application process, then i should start considering a plan B for my master degree!

To those who did get in, may I firstly applaud you for your achievement. It's obviously, without doubt, a course that many would want to be part of.
If I may, however and secondly, suggest on behalf of the "waitlistees", that those who have been made their offers- but would still prefer to go somewhere else- make known to Oxford upon acceptance of that other offer, their intention to withdraw from the MLF or of their intention to not accept it because they are no longer interested, as soon as possible to allow the ones on the waiting list to also be taken into consideration and be put out of their misery?
I'm not suggesting that anyone should at all rush their decision- of course not- but, this is rather asked from those who know that they are accepting another offer or will not be going to join the MLF in any case.
To everyone, whatever the outcome, a big well done and an even bigger thank you to those who are kind enough to understand the reasoning behind my post.
Yours,
S

Hello Everyone,
Congratulations to those who have been successful in receiving admission call from Oxford.
I am amazed to know the number of applicants who have been kept on the waiting list. Even I am featuring in their waiting list as of now.
Is it official that 2013-14 Batch would comprise of 45 students? Because their website doesnt say much in this regard.

Got the waitlist e-mail today! Pretty thrilled just to have made it to the waitlist, though from what I have seen on past forums it would appear that there are a lot of waitlisted candidates so I'm guessing any chance of an offer is pretty slim. Anyone have any stats or anecdotes from past years about this (how many people are waitisted, how many are eventually made offers)?

Hello Everyone,
Is it official that 2013-14 Batch would comprise of 45 students? Because their website doesnt say much in this regard.
The offer letter by John Armour states: "I look forward to welcoming you to Oxford as part of a cohort of approximately 45 outstanding students from all over the world."

I was also asked for a hard copy of my transcript so I don't think it's anything out of the ordinary.
Does anybody remember if we were asked for a first and second college preference on the application? I thought I put down two but when I look back at my application there's only one. Maybe I'm thinking of a different application...
I'm certain that you had to state two preferences. It's strange that it doesn't show on the application though...
We definitely only had to put one choice of college down. Two college preferences was at Cambridge

Hello,
Is there anyone from those 45 admitted students to MLF course, who are looking at the alternatives and by any reason, whatsoever, are about to cancel or defer the offer?
It would be great if those who are thinking on this line can drop in a message.

when I call to Kate( the lady in charge) she told me they have only 35 spaces, so my question to you is how do you know is 45?
I mean the more the better for me, more chances to jump from the waiting list:D

One person who has received the Offer Letter disclosed in the past thread that the offer letter by John Armour states: "I look forward to welcoming you to Oxford as part of a cohort of approximately 45 outstanding students from all over the world."
This means that this time they have increased the in-take. However, no such information is available on the website of Oxford, so I am not sure but going by the past thread, it's official now.

Hi Everyone, Congrats to the fellows who have received their offers and to the guys on the wait-list, keep the faith. I would be grateful if any of the guys who has been offered a place and has declined (or would be unable to accept the offer) could please indicate so on this chat. You would be doing the guys on the waiting list some favour by so doing.
Thanks
Thanks

Will anyone not be taking up their place on the MLF? Those of us on the wait list would appreciate if you mentioned it here.
Thanks

All quiet on the western front?
Hello and congratulations on being selected/ waitlisted on the MLF program. I too have been waitlisted and have been waiting to hear of updates. I have been able to count 8 waitlisted candidates here and personally know of a ninth candidate. Once you count me in, it makes ten of us.
I wish everyone all the very best and look forward to reading about how the waiting process has been treating the other waitlisted students. Have any of you been made an offer yet?

Hi, hal123!
It's not easy to say for sure, because people here don't affect admissions in Oxford. However, I advise you to check current year class profile (law.ox.ac.uk/mlf), and it will help to understand the caliber of candidates they are waiting for.
Personally I believe you have an excellent background ("starting position" if you want). Now it depends on your grades, quality of education and career, as well as personal identity.
Anyhow I wish you good luck as we are in the same boat now.
