Oxford - Decisions?

IPCT

Hi everyone

I too received an email offering me a place this morning! Very excited (but now need to figure out how to raise the funds - the Aussie dollar doesn't go that far).

I emailed the law faculty on the email address lawfac@law.ox.ac.uk and they replied. The grad admissions office won't give you the results. Make sure you put your name, address, birthday and course number in the email. I know the law faculty website says not to email them regarding admissions but I did, and it worked.

Good luck to everyone. Looking forward to meeting you all in a few months :)

I just received an email telling me that my offer letter had been sent and funding decisions will be made on 26 March.
Mila - are you currently a student at Oxford? My understanding is that one can't get admitted directly to the DPhil. Thanks.

Hi Flygirl - in relation to funding decisions, does that include decisions on whether you're received a clarendon fund bursary?

Hi Flygirl. I am not at Oxford at the moment. I got accepted to the DPhil with the condition that I should complete my Harvard LL.M. I know they advise you to go through the 'steps of the pyramid' but apparently this is not a hard rule. So you will be doing the DPhil as well next year? Looking forward!!

Has anyone got a rejection email from Oxford? Or, are they only sending out acceptances?

Yesterday around noon (around 4 pm Oxford time), I emailed both:

graduate.admissions@admin.ox.ac.uk
graduate.enquiries@law.oxford.ac.uk

This morning (around 10 am Oxford time), I got a response from graduate admissions telling me to contact the Faculty of Law. But, I haven't received a response to my email to the Faculty.

It's now about quarter after noon Oxford time. I fear that no news might = bad news. Has anyone got a rejection by email?

I suggest you that contact the Faculty of Law in order to obtain information about your application.
I received a conditional offer to Magister Juris Program and I was informed by e-mail.
So, I'll have to a difficult decision between Cambridge, Oxford and LSE. I don't know exactly the reputation of MJur Program, due to the fact that BCL is more renewed. Does anyone have any information about the reputation of MJur?
Good luck!

I'm in the UK and so far have had nothing by post. I may try an email since people here seem to have had success with that.

HELLO everyone!
I have received nothing till now, but the truth is I haven't emailed them either. Anyway, today I received an email by the Oxford Graduate Office, asking me if I wanted to be considered for the Weidenfeld scolarships. Does it mean I have been accepted? Or no?

And something else: I have received (February) an email with a conditional offer for Cam. I want to take a deferral. Do I have to tell them quick? Because I haven't actually received the offer by post.

Thanks a lot in advance! :)))

I am sure that means you have been accepted.

As for my email, it just say "funding" with no explanation so I presume it also means the Clarendon.

I now have to decide between the PhD at Cambridge and the DPhil at Oxford. I can't decide. Does anyone have any thoughts?

Flygirl, thanks for a quick (and SO optimistic) response.
I haven't asked for any financial help but they sent me this email which refers, according to them, to a "prestigious new scolarship".
I 'm just wondering why would the Graduate Applications Office send me such an email on the 21st, in case I had already been rejected on the 16th...
Anyway, you say I should hope for an offer????

I'd say you have definitely been accepted otherwise why would they get your hopes up like that. It is a lot easier to get in than be considered for such awards.
