Cavour,
I have not heard from Balliol yet. For our information: a friend of mine applied for Balliol last year and did not get his reply before june.

In bocca al lupo - credo che sia uno dei college più selettivi.

Just out of interest, has anybody heard back about any of the scholarships offered by the law faculty directly? Thanks

I haven't heard anything. They were meant to be announced in mid to late April, weren't they? The run of long weekends here probably threw that off schedule.

I also didn't hear from them:( I hope that they just have so much money that can't stop distributing them among us, that is why they are so late;)) I only heard that some people received scholarships from the colleges...

Did all of you receive a college offer? I didn't and from the university's admissions office they are telling me that I should have heard back by now.
Thanks!

I also didn't receive my college offer. I suppose that I was rejected by my first choice (St.Jones), thus they sent my appl to other colleges. I start worrying actually...

Thanks Alina, I'm worrying too. My first choice was New College. I tried to contact them today, but their voicemail came out all day... (at least it's two of us!)

Guys, stop worrying. Most students don't get into their first-choice colleges (including me). Once you've been made an offer by the university, you are guaranteed to be accepted at a college as well, so no need to get nervous. Just be patient, an offer will definitely arrive eventually.

Yeah... the main concerns for me were: 1) tutors; 2) scholarships. The college I chose had the tutors I really wanted and it was one of the richest for the scholarships. Now I worry that I get the poorest college with the tutors I am not interested in...

I agree that it's too soon to worry about colleges (heck, I don't even have a response on my Cambridge application yet!). According to the Graduate Office website, it's expected to take until early June for all of the college decisions to be made.

That said, even though I'm not worried, I'm still DYING to know which college I'll be in.

I do not know! The letter only says that "once you have met the conditions [...] the offer will be confirmed and you will be sent a University contract by your Department or Faculty" - but when? I guess it does not matter all that much. We are in if we can pay.
