@ Demi88: Thank you for this, it is really appreciated. I did see that earlier on in the thread, but haven't seen anything from anyone professing to a place at Merton, so, I was hoping (somewhat optimistically, I think!!) that they had decided but not yet communicated their decision. Who knows!!

@JustineM: Sorry to be the bearer of bad news!! LMH is a great college though. No, still no word :( . The wait is turning me into a nervous wreck, I am very impatient!! x

Not bad news so don't worry :). As a mature student I realise I have been v lucky to obtain a place on the BCL so I am happy to receive an offer from any college. LMH does look nice on the website though :)

I'm sure u will hear something soon - no news is good news as they say so I hope u get yr college of choice :) xx

Absolutely! I am in exactly the same boat, mature student, and thrilled to have been accepted. Knowing which college I am off to will just make it more real!! Thank you very much, I hope so too!! Enjoy LMH!! x

Hi guys - anyone heard from Brasenose?

My understanding (word of mouth) is that if we haven't heard from our first preference colleges by now, it means they've passed on our application to other colleges as they're full (ie application unsuccessful).

I don't really mind that much where I go, (I honestly don't think colleges play a huge part in the BCL/MJur/MLF courses) but it's a bit annoying not knowing - I need to finalise my Oxford contract so I can apply for my visa, get my leave of absence from my job organised, etc. so it's more the technical side of things where the hold-up is bugging me.

Hopefully we all hear from a college soon!

According to the facebook group comments about college, we are three to have been accepted in Brasenose.
But as you say, for graduates it does not really mind in which college you're going.

Still no news regarding colleges, I presume that since i haven't heard about scholarships, then that I probably wasn't awarded one.

Don't give up hope just yet! From my understanding, faculty scholarships are yet to be finalised, so there is still no news across the board.

Hi just to let you know I received notification that I was awarded the Freshfields award today. So I guess they're starting to notify people now.

Thanks. I do have a college assignment (Mansfield. I just got an e-mail off Geraldine Molloy informing me that I had been successful for a scholarship and the attached PDF set out the details. I would hazard a guess that they let people know as they are awarded and not all in one block, similar to the offers to the BCL.

Just a quick update (in case you have not seen already), there is a post on the Law Faculty website saying that all faculty scholarships have now been made. Hope this helps.
