This is highly unusual. There were no reports of mass button disappearing this time last year. The few whose buttons disappeared the day before eventually got offer whilst those who were eventually rejected/waitlisted retained their button. Not sure what this means actually but looking at last year’s thread, if offers were to be given today, 2 p.m. might be the golden hour.

Friend just reported that he received an offer for the MJur. I am not surprised because that guy has an outstanding CV: he wrote academic articles and a book with a professor. He did not check when his button disappeared, but it has disappeared.

I applied for Mphil (MPhil in Law) and now my button disappears.

It seems extremely unlikely that all BCL applicants whose buttons have now disappeared would receive offers (even though I would love that to be the case!). I would guess that the mass disappearance might just indicate that decisions, yay or nay, have been made - and that we probably shouldn't get too hopeful or despairing either way.

thank you for the insight, if that’s the case, we got less than an hour to reveal our destiny! But do you think that would apply to BCL applicants too?

Same here! Fingers crossed!! :)

On the button theory, seems as though 100% of people from the MSt IHRL have no buttons as of yesterday at a similar time. Given that it is a course of 30 people I’d be surprised if we all make it.

I was explicitly referring to BCL applicants actually. From last year’s thread, BCL offers were given over the course of 2 days (18-19th March I believe). Might be wrong here but Mjur saw the majority of offers coming in on the second day (19th). For the BCL, the thread reported many offers at 2 p.m. UK time whilst on the second day, offers came as early as 10 a.m. We’ll just wait and see but this year’s pattern (mass button disappearing with little to no indications that anyone has an offer) is definitely out of character from last year’s.

Don't forget that only a handful randomly picked people are commenting here - "mass disappearance" does not necessarily reflect the total pool of applicants.

Congratulations to your friend!
My button disappeared yesterday afternoon (MJur), if the decision -hopefully- is an offer, should we expect the offer e-mails today?

Hmmm, 18 and 19 March in 2021 were a Thursday and Friday respectively. Most natural way of thinking about this is, if the same pattern will occur, BCL offers will be send out today (Thursday) and tomorrow (Friday). If it comes to MJur applicants, and if your correct that MJur students received their offers on a Friday, something odd already happened because as I just reported a friend of mine received a MJur offer today.

MPhil button still here. Why do I hear "The Sound of Silence" softly playing in the background?
Same here! Fingers crossed!! :)

I do find it odd though that no one else has to report an offer/rejection.. they are certainly taking their time hah

Me too. Still no sign of disappearing...

Apparently a couple of people got offers from DPhil/MPhil in the last couple of hours. Has anyone here heard from the Law Faculty/M Biese? If so, for which programme and at what time? Did your button disappear?

Any BCL offer holder in the forum?

Hi, Mjur candidate here. I just received an email stating that Oxford has considered my application and will "shortly be sending [me] a Certificate of Offer which will detail the conditions which need to meet to become a student of the University".
I assume an offer is coming?

Just received an offer from the MJur. The magic button disappeared yesterday afternoon.

I guess so! Congrats :) Did your button disappear?
