Thumy,
I applied to UCL last year and got accepted but deferred my entry which they were very good about. I've not heard back from Oxford and to be honest, I doubt it will be favourable. Fingers crossed though!!
What specialisation are you interested in?
I would like to go for tax and corporate law. And you? All this waiting is killing....

Does not sound too good at all, having completed my application on 29th November 2007 it is still under consideration by the department... I'd really wish to hear soon, it's already 12 weeks now. Then again, my professor, who is a LSE alumni himself, said he would not expect an answer prior to Mid-March. So I am still confident about it ;)

Banking law and financial regulation. Tell me about it! (the wait I mean). Its like everything is on hold till I know where I'm heading. Btw, congrats to the person who just got offered!!!

Hi .... today my application status reads:
A decision has been made on this choice and is being processed. Processing involves checking by a senior member of staff, and occasionally verification of one or more details by your Department. Most decisions will be finalised and appear here within one or two working days (remember to allow for weekends!), however if we require clarification from the Department your status will remain unchanged for longer periods. No further information is available until all checks have been completed, and the decision will be posted here first.
Can anyone tell me ....what can i expect after this ?????
First of all Hallo to everyone, coz it's my first post here :)
and secondly, did any of you lads got rejected or waitlisted after receiveing this msg from LSE?
I got this today and as most of you I'm bit nervous... Please let me know.

Rejections come firts. So it is good that you did not hear from them. Maybe right now they are finalising your offer ;)
Good luck to everyone, who is waiting!

I think you will be admitted. I wish all of us to be ;) I have read on some discussion board (sorry, do not remember the exact one) that such message usually appears before they will send you an offer... What can they finalise in the reqection letter? :)

That would be great indeed - I got the same message today ;)
We'll see in a few days if you are right anyway.

At least the change of the status indicates that somebody is still alive there ;)

Yup you were right! It's a msg preceding an offer (at least in my case it was)! Good luck to everyone :)

Just want to make sure everyone is aware that you CAN check your LSE application status online. If you are admitted, you can actually print out your offer certificate and everything...

Well, I received the same email today. I'm on the waiting list for 5 weeks. I hope to have good news in a couple of days.
My husband got the same message one day before he was offered a place.

I received a conditional offer today. Thank god!!
Now, I have to get a higher score on TOEFL. I got only 617 on pBT. Is there anybody in the same situation?

Would anyone know what is LSE's student intake for their LLM programme?
Posted Mar 07, 2008 15:35
Intake/applications in 2006: 250/1,263 that is the information they give on their website.

G.A. Law,
If I were you, I'd take the IELTS. I got 105 on the Toefl iBT, 2 pts below the 107 required. In the IELTS, I got an 8 when LSE asks for 7.
IELTS is less tiring and you speak with a human being instead of speaking to a computer...
Goo luck!

Today LSE closed LLM program for "home" students... how much time will it take them to close program for overseas students?..
Posted Mar 11, 2008 00:04
I have also seen that they have closed the programme for home applicants, what is that suppose to mean... that they are not admitting more home/EU students or that they are not considering anymore applications from these?
I applied on January 30th and heard nothing yet...
what's happening?
