LSE Applications 2022-2023

I was admitted a few days ago and in the mail (unconditional offer) I was told the following: “We require an original or certified copy of your transcript.“
I have scanned the original transcript and uploaded it in the course of my application in December. Now I am wondering if it would be sufficient to just send the scan again or if I should bring the transcript with me when I arrive in London... I don’t really get what I need to do.
Does anyone know if that’s like a standard notification everyone gets?
Thank you!

I think they require the university from where you received your previous degree(s) to send a formal email from the university ID/post with your official transcript and degrees attached.

You need to get your university to mail the physical original document to LSE. There will be a deadline to do this. There are full instructions somewhere on the website.

Also just got my offer on the portal but not yet received the email. Going to wait a bit before changing my email address.

Anyone from Germany reading this? As we get our Staatsexamen from the Justizprüfungsamt, I am wondering if the uni can actually do this or if we have to ask the Justizprüfungsamt. Don’t think that the JPA would do that..?

anyone any insights?

thank you!!

Hi everyone, I hope you're doing well.
I applied on 24th December and my application was processed on 29th December (for which I received the email on 7th Jan).

My transcript dropped on 7th February, but I haven't heard from them post that. Should I be worried since my friend who applied after me just got a rejection email recently?

I'm sorry if this is a recurring concern and has already been answered but the wait (and my delayed application) make me anxious.

Hi everyone, I applied on 22nd Jan, my Application was processed on 24th January and received my ID via email on 24th itself. All my documents still read 'document received but not yet verified'. Waiting for an update anxiously. Will update here when there is any development. I am an international applicant. Best of luck to all!

Hey guys, one question concerning the funding: on the website of the graduate support scheme one can say how much money is needed to pay the tuition fees. I was wondering what happens if I say I need 3000 pounds because I have savings that cover the rest of the fees and then get a scholarship from another institution or even from the LSE. Do I still get the 3000 £ fee reduction?

Does anyone know how long one actually has to be in London? As rent is expensive, I was wondering if one can leave after mid-June, when the Summer Term ends and just write and submit the final dissertation from somewhere else?

Hi,

I left immediately after my exams (9 June) and wrote my dissertation from another country, which only needed to be submitted online. Therefore, I would say yes, you can! However, this was back in 2017 and for the LLM at the LSE, I do not know what programme you are referring to and if it would be the same…

Best of luck!
