Cambridge LLM 2015-16

Conditional Offer made. Finally. Even though the academic condition is a little high, but I am hopeful about meeting it . *fingers crossed*

Hoping for some financial help now, the University Fees has really shot up man.

Yeah it is astronomical. 30,000 pounds a year (including maintenance and living expenses) is just too much. I would have to decline my offer if I do not get any funding.

It's the same for me. Some financial help is definitely needed.
Just btw, when was the conditional offer made to you? I just want to calculate that within how many days should I expect to hear from a college. Thanks!

Yes, it is agonising. I spoke with Trinity college yesterday and have been informed that membership decisions will be released by the end of next week.

Trinity College has actually already offered membership to some postgrads especially PHDs. Wondering if the LLMs are cursed, LOL! Let us keep waiting. That is the only option.

Well my status was stuck at "awaiting decision by the Board of Graduate Studies" till 21.03.15 after which I stopped checking camsis and my mail (esp since I got a rejection from Oxford and didn't want another rejection within a few days). On 25.03.15 when I checked my mail in the morning there was an email from the BoGS regarding my conditional offer. The mail was dated 24.03.15. I checked my camsis then and the status there had also changed to conditional offer made. When I checked my camsis again on thursday night post 12 Indian time it showed accepted at Darwin college. Someone else on this thread posted about being accepted at Darwin. Perhaps different colleges have different deadlines? Which colleges did you opt for in the application form?

Out of curiosity - has anyone managed to get an offer with a good/high 2:1/upper second degree? I am well aware that this would be difficult, but is not unheard of.

Nope  it was my first choice, but my page still says 'seeking college membership'.

Hi! Can anyone provide any information on the academic conditions requirement? What is the protocol if you're unable to meet it?

That's an easy one.

You'll simply lose the offer and not make it to Cambridge.

No need to call Mrs. Wade on that one.

You're very helpful as per the usual I see! The offer conditions seem to state that we should send our transcripts anyway, but no doubt the situation is dicey.

Hi, can anyone tell me, how many students are generally admitted into the LLM programme at Cambridge in a particular year?

I got a place at Girton College. My first choice was Jesus College, but Girton sounds pleasant! Especially because I never minded the distance - and would love cycling~

Congratulations! Was Girton your second choice? How long was the period between receiving a decision from Jesus and being accepted into Girton?
