do people know if, looking at previous years, hearing later is a bad sign? im worried that because mine hasn't changed im either rejected or a borderline candidate
From what I’ve seen, based on a small sample size, there’s a group of people who’ll be moved to PAO quite early, before any rejections are sent out. Then there is some silence, followed by the majority of people getting their decisions, most of which will naturally be rejections (because of Cambridge’s low approval rate), but there will definitely be some admissions mixed in.
So yeah, based on what I’ve seen, I think it’s fairly safe to assume that the candidates that are absolute shoo-ins, tend to get their results significantly earlier than the rejections/less “excellent” admissions.
