Has anybody heard about their college membership at Cambridge? I received an email with the conditional offer in late january, but have not heard back from the colleges.

Same boat. Email in Janauary, no word on colleges or funding, and haven't yet recieved the promised "package by post".

ED - I would be tempted to contact them. I heard about my admission way after you and received my package last month. I am in a different course however.

I was thinking that if I don't hear by the end of this week, then I'll call. My understanding is that the package is sent the same time as camsis is updated (not when the email is sent). Agree??

I received my package quite a bit after the email was sent (perhaps over a month?) so I think you are right. The letter in my package was dated 8 March but it didn't arrive until around the 21st (I think). I live in NYC. It would seemed they hung on to it for a bit before posting (two weeks from the UK to the US is a long time).
You have until 6 weeks after the date of the letter to accept.
I imagine if you accept on Camsis there is nothing to worry about.
Personally, I didn't find the package very exciting. I just skimmed it. Lots of fine print and seemed to just say what was on the website.

I just checked my email account and the email I recieved was Jan 29. It said I will recieve a package by post in a few weeks. I suppose it has now been 6ish. I will call later this week if I don't hear anything. I'm on the west coast.

I heard by email in January too, but I haven't yet received anything in the post...

Unfortunately, I have quite similar situation. E-mail regarding the offer from Law Department at the last third of February, but still no info by mail, also the Camsis is not updated. I think I will write an e-mail to Graduate Admissions, if I don't hear anything by beginning of April. Well, but probably these long waiting periods are normal in Cambridge....

hi guys, i was in a simialr situation as well. I received the offer in january and i only received the package last week. Regarding the colleges I get the impression this happens once most of the offers have gone out. I spoke to the lady in admissions yesterday and she said that my papers had only just been sent to my first choice college, even though i was offered a place in january. So we just have to be patient. But she did say that getting college memebership is just a formality. So no need to worry, we just have to wait and see.

I (finally) received my package today. It is dated 20th of March. I live in Switzerland. No mention to college membership.

However, at the end of the conditional offer letter it says "cc. Faculty of Law, Trinity College". Trinity was my 2nd choice college. Could that mean that they have accepted me?

I'd say that means they have sent your application to Trinity to consider it but I imagine it is a good sign. At least you aren't in the pool.

Yes, Flygirl, it is crazy and I will call. It must be lost in the mail or something, because it's been something like 8 weeks.

I haven't received the package yet and any offer from colleges. I've received my offer in early February. Do you know when they normally send the college offers?

I received my package this morning and it's been about 6 weeks since I received my initial offer by e-mail. The formal offer was set on 23rd March which is the date at which CamSis was also updated. No word on colleges yet although the letter was also marked "cc: Trinity College" which suggests that the application will be with them for their consideration.

Irishguy - what is your view on Caius and Trinity as colleges?

Thank you soooooo much for your very helpful replies. That is interesting about the bigger colleges. Actually, I had heard that being the only LLM at a college can be lonely. A friend was in the same position at Caius but she said she just stuck with the PhDs and it was better. There are a lot of law PhDs at Caius I think.
I hope you got better and don't suffer any long term damage!
