Any idea when the next email, referred to in the informal offer, for MCL students will be sent?

Anyone applied for Gates Scholarship? :)

Anyone applied for Gates Scholarship? :)
I applied. I assume we have to wait until around April to hear about that. Admission to Cambridge and a scholarship?! That would be too good to be true :D.

I applied too. I've heard that interviewing and selection of candidates will be in March. Candidates shortlisted for interviewing must be contacted soon...

Call me the comeback kid!
Got an offer by email too yesterday, but it got stuck in our firm's spam filter - I only got to read it five minutes ago.
Can you believe that?
Sooooooo relieved and so proud!

Does anybody know whether they consider applicants by regions/country this year?

Doesn't seem like it, tbh. So far I know people with English (I've got an English degree), German, Greek, Spanish, Indian, American, Chinese, Italian and Canadian degrees who got offers. That looks pretty random, I think.

Agree.
Could well be that whoever has not gotten an offer by now might have to wait until next year.
But you hang in there, kids.

You know someone from Greece who received an offer? Do you know which university he/she is from? Is he/she in LLM Guide? I'm from Greece as well and I am a little frustrated now that I see they haven't sent me an offer (fingers crossed not yet at least)..

I've managed to call Cambridge. They're not done with the MCL - for now just a few offers have been sent and the rest is still to be considered. I don't know about the LLM.

What about rejections? Any idea anyone? Has anyone received one for LLM?
Posted Feb 09, 2013 11:13
Has anyone called about the LLM? I was wondering if you know whether they inform unsuccessful applicants as well when they reject them. Or does someone have to ask to know?

Yes, I know a girl from summer school who got an offer. She graduated from University of Thessaloniki last year.
As for rejections, the GAO sends them out. In the offer email they said it could take until March 15 for the GAO to send us s formal offer. I guess the same goes for rejections.

So, I know we won't find out what college(s) accept us for a bit (according to the email). But what is everyone's thoughts on the colleges? I'm from the U.S., so the entire college part is totally new to me... I figured it was like Griyffindor and Slytherin haha... I don't know about everyone else, I just want to be in a classical building with a private bedroom, areas for sports, and internet, of course, is a MUST!
