Hi, I'm from Thailand, and apply for 2010-2011 program. What time would the program announce the admission decision? Would 3rd countries applicants be announced separated from European applicants? Anw, nice to c u guys!
Posted Nov 16, 2009 16:28
Hi. I'm not sure, but I believe that 3rd country students will receive admission letters or emails in late february 2010.
Posted Nov 16, 2009 16:29
Admission decisions should be announced mid February, I guess it means that 3CStudents will find out before EStudents, since their deadline will not expire by that time.

Thx Christi8a and mgogic! Are both of you applying for this year programme?
Posted Nov 16, 2009 16:48
Indeed. I can't wait to find out wether I'll be admitted. I'm really looking forward :-)
this is my first choice, however I'm planning to apply to other universities just in case I'm not admitted :-( Does anyone know about a similar program to recommend??
I assume that we are all applying for 10/11, right??

yeps, I also look forward to see the result, but that is next 3 months! such a long time, isn't it? r u goin' to apply for US schools? then, there are plenty of them offering courses in law and economics. I'm not sure whether UK school put any emphasis on this issue or not. Btw, wish you good luck.
Take care,

Hey Guys
I've also applied for 2010/2011. Good luck to you all,
I'm planning on applying to several other unis in Europe as well since EMLE is very competitive!
London School of Economics I hear has a great course, v well renowned but also quite competitive with admission.
What other programs in Euro are ppl applying for?

Hy everyone,
I've applied for 2010/ 11MELE programme too, and I've also applied for QMUL, KING'S and CAM and planning to applied for LSE, OXFORD and UCL.
Do you have any tips about LSE?
Is it true that you only have a shot if your referee studied at the University you are applying for?
I'm from Brazil, where are you from?

Hi guys!
I just received an email from the university saying that I will not be admitted. :-( it says that the competition is fierce and they are looking for people that have studied law and economics. Also it says they gave weight to the motivational letter.
As for myself, I am an accountant and attorney with a CPA license. However, it was not good enough.
For those of you who have not received such an email: congratulation! That means that you are still in the race!!
Best of luck to all and at least I was notified early on thus, Im still on time to apply to other programs.

How come decisions are sent out this early? They are going to be announced in the second half of February, aren't they?
However, I am sorry for you two for the decision. There are always a better and suitable thing waiting for you, cheer up mate!

I thought so too. I was not waiting for their decision until Feb. I am under the impression that they are discarding a first round, because it also said that I will not be offered a position on their reserve list that there are too many applicants ranked above me.
It seems that 374 people applied for 30 seats!
As I said earlier, at least we still have time to apply to other programs!

Well, Cristi8a, I admire your positive thought, mate. Actually, their early decision is fair enough, since those who are not accepted will have a chance to find other places within remaining time.
Anw, less than 10% acceptance rate is quite scary, isn't it? Thx for this information.

Dear lukalaw, Do you mean all candidates' results are out already instead of mid-feb as they informed? Anw, congrats and wish you get a scholarship!
P.S. What do you mean by national coordinator? where do you come from?

The coordinator from the nationally participating Uni contacted me directly- informing me that they already have the answers (and want to meet me, keep me informed etc.. (I went to a different institution)), but the official letter will only come out mid Feb.
So if you want , I assume you can already contact them for an answer either the nationally participating University (if you have one) or Erasmus directly though I would not recommend that.
