Hi Guys,

I'm Irish and I'm still waiting to hear if I got an interview! My main concern is my level of french(I've done college through french before, but my exams were oral), I know the Degree is 60% through french, but does anyone know what quantity of written work has to be handed up?

In my last year of law so no politics degree on my part either it was one of the things that worried me when I applied but its nice to see that other people are in the same situation. As far as I can tell they do accept law graduates into the POL programme.

I haven't studies politics before either - I shouldn't think it will be a problem if you can really demonstrate your interest in it?

it's great to know MartiDD, that I am not single in this..because most of people apply to LLM..

so how is your feeling about it? did you study in Politics? because I didnt, and I am afraid I may be not the good as other students who did ))

Hey! well I am majoring in Political Science, minoring in Diplomacy and International Affairs. My first concern is about that indeed, I do not have a huge background on EU politics! fingers crossed for both of us then!!! :)

Hello everybody! i am a law student from Cyprus and I will have a skype interview with the CoE tomorrow afternoon! I am not really excited about that, since I was expecting the interviews to be held in April and there really wasn't much time to prepare my self for it, but hopefully I everything will go well. Anyway I will be happy to share my interview experience with all you guys tomorrow! :-)

I know that the interviews will be held on the 27th, and after Achris's post I am just wondering if they have been giving only a weeks notice to everyone? I have another opportunity at the time and I don't want to be out of Ireland and be forced to forfeit my interview space!

I am so glad I found this topic on the internet :) The oral convocation is eagerly awaited and it is wayyy too stressful not to share it with you ! I applied for the EU Law program through the French selection commity and haven't had any news yet..

I am quite distressed about the oral examination. From what I've read from last year's topic, the French commity seems quite harsh. I am also very confused about what kind of question the commity may ask, it seems to be very precise questions so that I really don't know how to prepare myself. If anyone has further informations about it, please help yourself and share it with me :)

Wow I cant believe theyre holding interviews already....

The Spanish application deadline has been set back several times and now it seems theyve agreed on the 15th of March, so I havent even sent my application to the actual selection comittee yet!! (even though I sent everything else to Bruges ages ago).

In past years interviews in Madrid were held between the end of April and the beginning of May and I really hope they dont start any earlier this year a) because I need time to prepare b) Ill be out the country nearly all of April. The one weeks' notice thing worries me a little (apart from the possibility that I might not get an interview)...

Hello everybody!
I had the interview this afternoon and I have to share the experience with you. I was interviewed by 2 College people, who were really polite and made me feel comfortable, even though it was a phone interview and therefore quite impersonal. As regards with the questions, there were some questions about my motivation, but not that many. Of course they asked the standard question, why an LLM in EU law and why CoE. I had some questions regarding my dissertation, and a past moot court experience that i had. Now, coming to EU law questions, they asked me about the new fiscal treaty, and to comment on the relation of EU law with Public International Law, but I think that this is because I have a stronger background in PIL. Other questions were quite simple.
All in all, try not to worry a lot. The interview only lasts 20 minutes, Best of luck to all of you

Looks like it went quite smoothly.. from what youve told us the level of difficulty seems to have been pretty acceptable, the topics they asked about were coherent ,etc.

here's hoping the rest of us are lucky enough to get an interview!
