Good grades will take you further than you think I dont have any relevant professional experience either and my grades are fine but they are far from spectacular. On the other hand I have interesting extracurriculars and Im ok with my languages (although I wish my French was more up to par with my English).. so who knows.

Like you said, we just have to wait and see what happens ;). In the end it also depends on luck, on the quality of the applicants that particular year, the demand and so on.

I think in Italy invitations to interviews will arrive around april too. For Lombardia deadline has been extended and for San Marino (which I guess will have the same selection committee) it's on 20th of February, so it may take some time before hearing from them.

One of my biggest concerns is about French. I may easily survive speaking French but survival is far from academic attending in french.

I'm also a bit "worried" about the other applications I made. I almost fear that offers from some of other universities will come much sooner than possible offer (or even than interviews) from CoE.

You too! Yup. I'm a bit worried too because I'm studying abroad and I don't know how the Italian Committee is going to assess my application. Let's just hope for the best :)

I agree. Definitely a better situation than studying in Italy. ;)

Hi Guys,

I'm Irish and I'm still waiting to hear if I got an interview! My main concern is my level of french(I've done college through french before, but my exams were oral), I know the Degree is 60% through french, but does anyone know what quantity of written work has to be handed up?

Thanks

I have no idea, but I don't think you have to worry about that! You can still learn French, it is not that hard!

Howdy!

Good to see a 2012/13 thread up and running. Is anyone here applying from the UK through the various scholarships on offer here? apparently we're to be shortlisted in the 'coming weeks' for an interview which is to take place on the 21st/22nd of March...i.e. in the coming weeks :)

Good luck with the applications guys!

POL applicant here *wave*

I haven't studies politics before either - I shouldn't think it will be a problem if you can really demonstrate your interest in it?

I applied for POL as well!

In my last year of law so no politics degree on my part either it was one of the things that worried me when I applied but its nice to see that other people are in the same situation. As far as I can tell they do accept law graduates into the POL programme.
