About the accommodation bit, are people not planning to stay in private rented flats?? or is it only going to be Evans or SIC??

I was also wondering when do we have to deposit the fee?

I'm presently pursuing the IBL programme, which comes to an end this weekend in shanghai with conclusion of the exams.

Hey. Any idea as to what are the charges in Evans Lodge and SIC? I checked the website of Evans Lodge, which mentions the types of rooms (double/ sinle, AC/ non AC etc.) and deposit fees, but was unable to find room rents/ charges on the site. Similar query for SIC... (though I haven't seen the website for that yet). I know somebody had mentioned that the normal rate is S$ 500-800, but I was keen to find out the exact rates as well. Further, any idea whether the payment in these two hostels is monthly or lumpsum for the entire academic year?

I think this info may be important for prospective IBL students, who are booking/planning to book accommodation:
The Singapore part of studies ends on Friday 24 September 2010 and the Shanghai part starts Monday 11 October 2010.

Hi all, I just got confirmation email from NUS today, it said that they are preparing the information regarding immigration, accommodation, registration dates etc. and will be emailing to us, expect to hear from NUS from 6 14 May. So I think we are just a lil bit more patient and so no need to worry.

I am admitted to CFS. As the classes commence in August I am contemplating to come to Singapore by third week of July. On the accomodation part, I have heard that sharing private flats can be a really good idea. If anyone from India, planning a journey at around the same time, please reply!!!

Further, I wanted to ask if there are any hostel options reasonable close to the campus, except for Evans and SIC, which I guess have been mentioned here already. Out of these two, which is the better one? Has any one started booking hostels/ accomodations yet?
