I'm also in for the IBL.
@APG: I'm European, but living in Singapore for the last years. So flying together might not work...

Hi, everybody!
I accepted an offer, LLM in Corporate and Financial Services Law, and I have a question.
Does anyone know whether I can get a LLM without concentration?
I understand that I will be awaded general LLM If I get 40 credits regardless of concentration.
Of course, I am very interested in C&F Law courses provided, on the other hand, I am also intersted in the other courses such as "Beyond Law and Economics: Regulatory Theory" and "Financial Regulation in Times of Crisis".
As I have a background in Economics, I am very interested in the interdisciplinary area between Law and Economics.
I look forward to everybody at NUS!

It is definitely possible to get the LLM without a concentration. I applied for the general LLM as there was no one area that I wished to specialise in. Given that on my undergraduate law degree we have quite a narrow choice of courses I'm keen to take courses in a wide range of subjects.
In short, it is definitely possible to get the LLM without a concentration!

Thank you for your reply, Jodan!
By the way, does anyone know what day the Intensive English Language Course will start?
I have already received an offer letter, but the letter does not mention anything about it.
As I have not studied in a English medium instituion, I think that I have to take the course. Since I am not a good English speaker (IELTS score is only 6.5), I worry about the course. In addition, I would like to know the date in order to book my accomodation as soon as possible.

Congratulations for everyone accepted to NUS Law School. I'm now doing LLM here.
Hope this is helpful. If you need any further information, feel free to let me know :)
Just a heads-up, Discrete. I sent you a PM. I'd appreciate your thoughts on the NUS LL.M. experience.
Thanks.

Hi Carlos,
Looking forward to meet you too. As for Singapore, we should be applying for the Singapore visa once the documents come from NUS in mid May.
As for Shanghai, Prof Tan had once said that the visa formalities are completed while we are in Singapore. Its a little tedious task I'm told due to voluminous documentation but then all worth it.
Looking forward to see you and everybody else...
Cheers!!

Has anyone made all the arraignments in the housing department.
Sorry for raising something that's off-topic, but since someone asked: I have a friend who's renting out a room in Thomson Road. (FYI. Thomson Road, by taxi, is barely 5 minutes away from school, i.e. if I didn't have my place right now, I'd gladly take that room since it's very near the NUS Law School.)
If you're interested, just PM me. I'll introduce you to her.

Hi Anu,
I am from the french part. But I absolutely don't want to speak french in Singapore. I need to improve my English...;-)
Now if you want, I could speak French and you'll answer in English. OK?
See you in Singapore,
Luca

Hi everyone, the wait is almost over and soon we'll meet at NUS.
I'm hoping to learn Chinese and be able to speak it fluidly. Does anybody know if the university has those kind of programs, or it would be best to look for one in Shanghai.
