Hey,
I've been desperately looking for previous exam papers (other than Feb 2011 and June 2010). The NLS website doesn't seem to have them uploaded anywhere. I'd be much obliged if anyone out there has any scanned copies of the same.
It would be of great help, especially seeing how the exams are just a week and a half away!
Thanks!!

Hey Sid,
I get your point of view and am really glad to see how helpful (and patient) you have usually been to many who have sought advise on this board.
I'd registered for MBL way back in 2007 and this is the first time I'm giving the exam so don't have any papers in between. Based on your posts vehemently asking ppl to go thru previous papers and slides I was going through this Feb and past June banking papers only to find them to be almost identical and completely different from 2005-6 ones, which led me to look for papers of the intervening period.
But hey, I get your bit about the pursuit of knowledge, so thanks anyways!
As far as supplementary reading material goes, NLS has sent out for all subjects of Ist year except IR. I'm in Pune, so if u can't find anyone from B'bay, do let me know, I'd be glad to send you copies.
Rgds,
H

Hi
This is a line of appreciation and grateful thanks for you Siddharth (and others, notably Rimee ) for being a great guide for MBL aspirants like me through the blog. I registered in 2010 but ran slow these past months and will have to wait till Feb/June 2012. I thought I will attempt I year papers in Feb. (if I can travel / employer permits) and at least 2 II year papers (which need some extensive reading as I gathered ) Given a chance I would concentrate on 2 subjects in one attempt,to imbibe some knowledge, as per the latest discussion, and not just obtain the degree !!! That would be dragging it for quite long I guess...

Dear All
can anybody please tell me that in which all subjects supplementary material is sent by NLS for MBL 1 Exams. I have recieved for Environmental Law. I have only applied to two exams in first year Industrial Relations and Environmental. In case they have sent for any of remaining three i.e. Contract, Banking and Corporate; I will request any person living in Mumbai to kindly share them with me to get a copy. I will collect it from u and return it.
Thanks in advance
Regards
Hey Siddarth am from Chennai and enrolled in MBL sometime back. Attended all classes and also have the slides but I clearly did not receive any supplementary material except the past year question papers book.
Can you please tell me what all supplementary material you have received. I am particularly interested in Environmental Law as I plan to start with that one paper for this time. Your help would be greatly appreciated as the text seems a little thin.
Thanks
Sanjeev

@ Rahul:
The entire process of registering is clearly stated in the website. Unless you have specific queries that are unclear in the website, I doubt anyone here can help you more than the nls website can.
@everyone:
In case of queries, please read all the comments in this thread before asking them. Some of the guys here have taken a lot of time explaining and reexplaining stuff. Let us help them out by trying to not ask the same questions again.
Hope this comment is taken in the right spirit. Wishing everyone the best for the exams.
cheers
Aditya

Hi there.. MBL is a very good course and has a great value in India.. its a difficult course though with pass percentage only around 2%.. You may find a number of people who are pursing this course on various community sites viz. orkut or facebook.. suggest you try contacting them through these sites..

I had a word with few of my Lawyer friends, who have cleared this course 2~3 years ago, here is what they told me (I am only writing the part for written exam as projects are no more there)
1. Take one casual reading of the books by NLS
2. Now take a detailed reading, making notes, underlining important clauses and so on
3. Now read Bare Acts
4. Now try to corelate Bare Acts with MBL materials with thrid reading and see what you do not understand
5. Get those doubts cleared by MBL faculty in contact classes or by e-mail
6. Read the materials yet again to check that you have understood most of the things
Also, the exam is not difficult, the passing percentage is low as previously people used to write projects without rigour which is not the case now as no projects now. Also, the passing percentage for IGNOU is 0.3%, this is because for disctance learning we do not have any pressure to study. So, don't get panic just study the material like any normal exam (with Bare Acts of course) and you will clear it.
