I 'attended' contract and corporate law papers on June 20th and 22nd 2011.My sincere advise/suggestion to all aspirants,please do not attend any MBL exams with no preparation and very less preparation,as 99% there is no chance to clear the papers with very less or no effort at all.I wasted an opportunity to clear 2 out of 5 first year papers.In depth preparation from study material and case laws is very much essential..All the best to all who wrote the exams..

Hi guys it seems like there are couple more who knows about this course of NLS's. Anyways the point here is I have done my Masters in Acc and Fin Mgt from UK and currently working for a Wealth Mgt firm in B'lore. I'm 22 years old and I have got a passion of having as many as qualifications as suffix to my name :P.

Well that doesn't not mean I want to pursue only for that sake. I would also like to enhance my knowledge in the mean time. Along with working, I have taken up Company Secretary from ICSI and I'm also planning to taken up this MBL programme from NLSIU.

What do you say guys? Anyone who has seen the syllabus would agree to the fact that LL.M. has a narrow specialization when compared with MBL. The thing I'm concerned here is that will it be recognizable as its a distance learning programme? Please let me know if you are aware of it. Thank you for your patience and I would really appreciate if anyone could reply for this.

2.Does MBL degree really help to increase wait of my resume ?

unable to give the xam in june due to cs final.. will sit for mbl in feb 2012. anybody plz inform me if i can write all the papers in feb!

Hi....its unfortunate that nobody has replied to your thread (despite a fairly active Indian presence on this website)! Anyway, just to answer your question -- I am not a student of NLSIU, Bangalore, although I am in my final year of a three-year LL.B. course from a fairly reputed institution in India. I know a lot of people from my college who do the MBL degree while completing their LL.B.s. (I have not done it myself). It is a preferred choice of degree for a lot of students in India wanting to know more about the business and commercial aspects of law in India, and draws students from fairly diverse backgrounds (not necessarily legal). From what friends who are currently doing the course tell me, it is not easy, but regular study throughout the year helps a lot.

If you'd like to speak to some who are still doing the course, pl email me and let me know! It wont be a problem at all!

1. Bare Acts
2. Course Material
3. Previous years papers
4. Presentations on NLS website (contact classes notes)

For II Year
You need to read a lot more, like International conventions, treaties, Bills, policy documents, etc.

You said you have done your engineering, MBA and now you have taken up MBL right? I don't see that this combination to be that wise in terms of selection. If study is your passion, please omit my opinion. Else, when you have done your MBA after engineering, go for CS instead of MBL. That is my personal opinion.

Well for your question the answer is if you study for an hour a day with full concentration would give you MBL degree. And that will again depend on n number of issues like how you will present in the examination and likewise.

Hi, thanks a lot for replying. I had given up on anybody doing so. How is it going. How many have you cleared so far? Do you have an exam centre in Dubai? I suppose not. I am trying with the authorities to get them to have an exam. centre in Dubai for the exams next year at least. Are you in touch with others in ME.
