No I am not in touch with anybody else in Dubai for the same and I think it will be unlikely for NLS to start an examination center in Dubai as yet since even in India also there are many places where it can have a center for examination and does not have it. I will most probably appear for the exams in India but in case you need any help in getting the exam center in Dubai do let me know. Rgds

Has anyone received the study material for MBL-I for 2011-13 session ?

I had a word with few of my Lawyer friends, who have cleared this course 2~3 years ago, here is what they told me (I am only writing the part for written exam as projects are no more there)
1. Take one casual reading of the books by NLS
2. Now take a detailed reading, making notes, underlining important clauses and so on
3. Now read Bare Acts
4. Now try to corelate Bare Acts with MBL materials with thrid reading and see what you do not understand
5. Get those doubts cleared by MBL faculty in contact classes or by e-mail
6. Read the materials yet again to check that you have understood most of the things

Also, the exam is not difficult, the passing percentage is low as previously people used to write projects without rigour which is not the case now as no projects now. Also, the passing percentage for IGNOU is 0.3%, this is because for disctance learning we do not have any pressure to study. So, don't get panic just study the material like any normal exam (with Bare Acts of course) and you will clear it.

The story was nice to here :) at the end I was surprised to see you are a BE, MBA.. Why MBL? Engineering and Managment is something ok but how does Law help u?

For MBL-I only NLS Study Material, PPTs, Bare Act and past two years question papers should be studied. No need to spend (waste) time by studying other materials. NLS material if studied seriously with Bare Act is more than sufficient.

Did all of you who have registered for MBL 2012 get the reading material?

There is a letter there that says that the reading material is undergoing a change and will be revised by December. The material currently sent has "supplementary" material written on the front page. Had the following questions:
1. Is there more material that will be sent other than the supplementary material? Can any of you who have taken the exam before help with this please?
2. If there is more material that is to be sent by NLS, how useful is it reading the supplementary material? Does it make more sense to study from the main material (if there is any such thing) as and when it comes?

Rimee, I am based in Bangalore hence the classes will be in Bangalore for now. If you are from any other state and I can form a group of more than five students, I can visit your city and conduct in person classes. I am still working on a system where I can take classes on the internet by messenger / Skype, but that will take some time. What is your email ID? It would be helpful if you could manage to start some online coaching classes through skype (as u have some plans in this line). people like me who can not attend the direct contact classes could benefit from this and i guess it would reach more people.
