I believe there is a misunderstanding as I have received some PMs as well requesting for coaching class.

I am very much a student struggling between work and finishing this course like everyone else here.

On Page 5 of this forum one Mr Abishek had graciously offered to give coaching both in Bangalore and via email.

There is personalised screen for everyone, with all the study materials, user groups, past question papers/answers, along with other information.

I have done my Msc(Int.) in Maths from IIT Kapur. Didnt study in the initial 3 years so am graduating with a cpi of 6.8. I was interested in applying to a law school abroad or maybe MBA. I have an interest in Law. So my question is:
1. Will doing an MBL and maybe securing a high gpa help in applying to the top law programs in us like at cornell, harvard etc.?
2. What is the approx. amount of time I would have to devote to MBL?

Hi friends, I have very little finance and law background. I have registered myself for MBL 2011-13.

Query : Study Material & Exam Preparation Guidance:

I have received a book compiling previous exam QP's (without answers). Also, a small 30-50 pg supplement study material on each subject from the University for MBL - 1.

Further, I have been informed by the university that I shall receive revised material by this month. But, I doubt if this study material would suffice to appear confidently for the exam.

So, I request if anyone can guide me and others like me on following points:
1. Where to get appropriate study material (notes copies, author books, internet links, etc)
2. How to start preparation in this limited time frame of 4 months.
3. And any further guidance is welcome.

Also, can someone tell me what could be tentative dates for June-2012 Exams.

Hello Dhaval,

The material sent by the University is sufficient for the MBL1 exams. Follow the Study MAterial, the Bare Acts and the PPTs (contact class) uploaded at the site. This would suffice for MBL1 (year 1). For Year 2, extra reading may be required.
Given that you are receiving the material late, the time left is not enough to cover all 5 subjects. In my opinion pick a couple of Subjects and clear them ...
Exams are usually in the last week of June

I just received soft copies of MBL-1 study material from a friend which is about 1500 pages as under:

Banking Law 296
Contract Law 349
Corporate Law 412
Environmental Law 199
Indistrial Law 277

I dont know how far these are updated but it seems quite sufficient for exams. And yes, I shall soon start with 2 subjects for now, so that I can be get a clear stand by until june.
