The Lyon Catholic University is located in the heart of the city of Lyon in a vibrant urban setting with a rich cultural and historical heritage. The city of Lyon was founded by the Romans in the 1st century B.C. and has played a major role in Europe's political, cultural and economic development ever since. Lyon was capital of the Gauls under the Roman Empire, a great cultural and trading centre during the Renaissance and a powerful industrial city in the 19th century. It is now a major European metropolis, shaped by many influences through ages. Lyon's rich cultural heritage reflects the various eras of the city's development, from ancient times and the Renaissance up to today.
The Lyon Catholic University is surrounded by a rich world of culture and innovation. Within a few kilometers from our city centre campus you can find the Gallo-roman museum, the museum of Fine arts, the Opera of Lyon, or the Lumière museum where cinema was invented back in 1895. It is a 10-minute walk from campus to the middle aged quarter, which is ranked by UNESCO on the World Heritage List, home to numerous restaurants, pubs, bars among others as well as numerous special events, such as the Nuits de Fourvière, the Nuits Sonores festival -one of the premium electro music festival in Europe- live music and free outdoor movies. For nature lovers, the Golden Head park and its botanical gardens or the Parilly hippodrome are nearby along with numerous jogging and biking trails along the Saone and Rhone river. Sport aficionados, who want to discover soccer will appreciate to go to Gerland stadium to watch the Olympique Lyonnais play.
Within a few kilometers, you also have access to the famous Beaujolais area with its vineyards and castles. Two hours away on the East are the Alps, with stunning landscapes and some of the finest ski resorts in Europe. From Lyon, you are at the heart of France and Europe.
So whether you chose to visit the Saint Jean cathedral, see the elephants at the zoo, or just enjoy being in one of the most pleasant cities in Europe, there is much to see and do in Lyon.

Students
The Lyon Catholic University extends a personal welcome to international students who come to Lyon.
You will be offered help and support throughout your visit to make sure your stay is successful. Courses offered by the French Language and Culture Institute will allow you to improve your knowledge of the French language and culture.
Sports
Aerobics, athletics, rowing, climbing, riding and football... Around twenty sporting activities are available all year round, regardless of your level and whether it's just for fun or competitive (at regional and inter-regional university championships, national or even international competitions).

- The LL.M. in International Business Law is offered in partnership with the State University Lumière Lyon, the City Law School, University of London (UK), and Maynooth University (Ireland).
- The tuition rate listed refers to the cost for domestic / EU students for the Lyon track.
- Other rates:
- For international students: €11,000
- For London Track: €20,500
- For Maynooth Track: €9,500 (local students) or €14,500 € (international students)
- City Law School requires an IELTS score of 7.0.
- The program is offered in partnership with the State University Lumière Lyon and St. John’s University, New York, USA.
- The tuition rate listed refers to the cost for domestic / EU students following the Lyon track. The rate for international students is €11,000.
- Tuition for students following the New York track is €20,500.
- Program tuition ranges from from €2,454 to €8,180 depending on income.
- Program tuition ranges from €2,580 to €8,600 depending on income.
Distance Learning
- Part-time students can complete the program in two years.
