The University of Birmingham offers a scholarship for students on the LLM Criminal Law and Criminal Justice or the LLM General program.
Scholarships are awarded based on academic merit and financial need.
Applicants must: be a resident in the UK and classed as UK/EU for fee purposes; demonstrate intellectual ability through academic performance, employment, and/or other experiences; demonstrate motivation to succeed at the Criminal Bar, including demonstrating the steps taken to acquire the personal skills required of a Barrister and a demonstration of the will to succeed; demonstrate potential as an advocate, both in oral and written skills; demonstrate financial need, specifically outlining the impact of the scholarship on the applicant's aspirations to undertake the LLM program or to pursue a career at the Bar; be self-funded, and not be in receipt of any other sources of funding; have applied for a place on either the LLM Criminal Law and Criminal Justice or the LLM General program before applying for the scholarship.
