Hey! I'm in the midst of completing my LL.M. application for Columbia. However, I have been struggling a little bit regarding the essay that needs to be accompanied to be considered for financial aid. The instructions say:
"Should you wish to be considered for financial aid, you must submit an essay with your application that addresses the reason(s) in support of your candidacy for a merit-based award."
Does anyone have an idea of what they want us to write? I would guess that is is not supposed to discuss something that is already addressed in the personal statement..

Hi there! Didn't apply to Columbia but wrote a scholarship essay for another school. I personally wrote about my accomplishments, specifically how I went from low levels in school to law school. It seems to have worked, because they offered me the best merit-based award so far. If you have any questions you can send me a PM!

Hi! Could you please share what law school did you applied to and how much did you get as a financial aid? Thank you so much! I'm seeking the scholarship options as I'm lack of money for my tuition.
